Own product positioning, messaging, editorial planning, and launch narratives, translating complex AI and legal technology into clear customer value. Lead content and video strategy, create sales enablement materials, gather customer insights, and collaborate with executives and cross-functional teams to refine the company’s market narrative.
This is a founding product marketing leadership role at a venture-backed AI and legal technology company. Reporting to the Head of GTM and working closely with the CEO, Product, Engineering, Sales, and customers, you will own how the company explains itself to the world, turning sophisticated technical capabilities into language people understand, trust, and remember.
Develop positioning and messaging that translates complex technical capabilities into simple, differentiated customer value.
Own the editorial calendar, setting the agenda for what the company says and when rather than servicing requests.
Build product launch narratives first, defining the problem, message, audience, proof points, and story before producing collateral.
Write and edit across all company channels: website copy, product pages, emails, blogs, social, scripts, presentations, and sales materials.
Partner with executives to shape their thinking into compelling posts, videos, panels, and interviews.
Spend time with customers, Sales, and Customer Success to understand buying motivations and bring that language back into marketing.
Direct video and content strategy, deciding what to produce, who delivers it, and what the hook is, including presenting on camera yourself.
Develop sales enablement materials that explain key products clearly at 30-second, five-minute, and full enterprise conversation depths.
Track competitors and the broader AI market to continuously sharpen positioning.
Partner with performance marketing, using conversion data to refine the overall narrative.
7+ years of experience in product marketing, communications, or storytelling roles in AI, enterprise software, legal tech, or similarly complex product environments.
Demonstrated experience working in or marketing to the legal industry, with an understanding of how lawyers think, what they trust, and how they buy.
Exceptional editorial judgment and writing ability; this is the defining requirement of the role.
Proven ability to make complicated technology accessible without oversimplifying it.
Experience owning product positioning and messaging end-to-end, from strategy through execution.
Track record planning and executing product launches, including defining narratives and proof points.
Experience directing video and content production and comfort presenting on camera as a company voice.
Experience conducting customer research and interviews to extract real language and buying motivations.
Comfort coordinating cross-functional teams and external agencies while maintaining strategic ownership.
Proficiency with modern AI tools to improve speed and output quality.
Backgrounds as a former lawyer turned marketer, legal or business journalist, or product marketer in a complex technical domain are particularly strong fits.
The base salary range for this role is $180,000 to $225,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
