Key Responsibilities

• Review, assess, and moderate user-generated content submitted to social media platforms in the Greek language, ensuring full compliance with platform community guidelines and policies.
• Identify, flag, and action content that violates terms of service, including but not limited to hate speech, misinformation, graphic content, spam, and harassment.
• Utilise internal moderation tools and workflows to process high volumes of social media content accurately and efficiently within defined timeframes.
• Escalate complex or sensitive content cases to senior moderation specialists or trust and safety teams in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of evolving social media platform policies, cultural nuances, and regulatory requirements relevant to the Greek-speaking market.
• Document and log moderation decisions with precision, contributing to quality assurance reporting and ongoing team performance metrics.
• Participate in regular training sessions, calibration exercises, and team briefings to ensure consistent application of content standards across the moderation team.
• Provide constructive feedback and insights to help improve moderation processes, content policies, and user experience on social media platforms.

Requirements

• Native or fluent proficiency in Greek (both spoken and written) is essential for this role.
• Valid EU passport or EU work authorisation (mandatory requirement).
• Strong working knowledge of English at a professional level for internal communication and reporting purposes.
• Prior experience in content moderation, trust and safety, customer support, or a related field within the social media or digital industry is highly advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to make sound, objective decisions under pressure in a high-volume social media environment.
• Resilience and emotional maturity when handling potentially sensitive, graphic, or distressing content as part of daily moderation responsibilities.
