The Grants & Contracts Analyst provides administrative and financial support for pre-award and post-award functions, including proposal preparation, budget management, and account reconciliation. The role ensures compliance with sponsor guidelines and institutional policies while facilitating the efficient functioning of sponsored projects.
We are seeking a Grants & Contracts Analyst who will provide support to the Finance Managers of the Institute for Education Policy and the Center for Research and Reform in Education. First, for CRRE (60%). This position will support CRRE’s Financial Manager. The position will start out with a primary focus on assisting with pre-award activities and may grow to also help with award processing and post-award activities as needed. Second, for IEP (40%). This position will support IEP’s Financial Manager. The primary focus of this position will be to assist with supporting the post-award and budgetary activities. We anticipate the Grants & Contracts Analyst will spend three full days per week with CRRE and two full days per week with IEP.
The Grants & Contract Analyst will provide dedicated research funds support with specific responsibility for both pre-award and post-award functions that includes but may not be limited to assisting with proposal preparation, budget preparation, account reconciliation, billing/invoicing, standard report writing, and close-out procedures. The primary goal of this position is to support the timely, effective and efficient functioning of sponsored funding. The ideal candidate should have some experience in research administration, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
Job Scope/Complexity
This position provides administrative support and financial coordination related to the grants management process. The Grants & Contracts Analyst will work under the direction of the Financial Manager, providing support for various tasks related to sponsored projects. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
This position assists with pre- and post-award support responsibilities for simple to moderately complex grants/contracts, including those from both federal and non-federal sponsors. These grants, contracts and awards may involve moderately complex budgets, foundation grants and/or subawards from other institutions on their federal pass-through grants.
