How will you make a difference to PMI?

PMI is looking for mid-to-senior level Global Chapter Program Specialist III who will be responsible for developing and implementing global chapter programs and activities aligned with the PMI: Next strategy. This role focuses on coordinating global initiatives that enhance chapter support and engagement and streamline program management and processes. The position also leads the implementation of internal and external policies related to specific programs and processes that promote continuous improvement in service and engagement between Chapters and the Regional Chapter and Community Engagement Group, ensuring strategic focus and alignment with PMI: Next strategy and operational objectives.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Lead the ongoing review, recommendation, and implementation of improvements and enhancements to Global Chapter programs and services.
  • Partner with the regional chapter and community engagement team to ensure the successful execution of established global programs and the application of appropriate processes and policies to engage, retain, and enhance the chapter member experience.
  • Support the growth of PMI’s presence and influence with global chapters and drive business activities aligned with PMI: Next strategy.  
  • Focus on building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support scaling efforts across all Global Chapter program areas as required/assigned, with a particular emphasis on automating the delivery of global Chapter programs and initiatives supporting chapter engagement.
  • Collaborate with channels and product teams to define the chapter's benefits (what is in it for chapters and volunteers).
  • Facilitate collaborative working relationships with Membership, Marketing, and Events to achieve the chapters’ channel’s intended outcomes.
  • Demonstrate the core value of volunteerism by partnering with the regional chapter engagement team and chapters to deliver outcomes together and promote positive outcomes and partnerships.
  • Champion program/liaison facilitation (i.e., Award Program, Event Support, Speaker Hub).
  • Support the development and delivery of high-quality programs and processes.
  • Serve as PO and primary contact for Global Chapter Programs as assigned. 
  • Recommend changes and corrective action as appropriate.

Role Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered
  • Minimum 5-7 years in an account management and business development capacity
  • Community/Chapter programs administration
  • Strong problem-solving ability and sound business judgment in assessing and prioritizing multiple competing opportunities
  • Customer-facing experience, with a particular focus on problem-solving and resolution of customer issues
  • Ability to work as a team member and leader of major projects and initiatives with multi-discipline internal and external team members
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and finesse, including effective meeting facilitation and public speaking to small and large groups
  • Strong data collection and listening skills
  • Experience working in an agile, dynamic, and customer-centric environment
  • Exceptional ability to think and present objectively, proactively engage, and facilitate discussions with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Engaging personality with excellent communication and motivational skills
  • Ability and willingness to become thoroughly familiar with project management, the profession, and PMI to build customer credibility and respect
  • Ability to work as a team member on major projects and initiatives with multi-discipline internal and external team members
  • Positive track record of business results and proven ability to develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders and generate organizational growth
  • Relationship management skills, including demonstrated ability to work with all levels of team, global volunteers, chapters, and external organizations with a track record of positive relationships
  • Demonstrated strength with digital technologies, including knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products and CRM
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in the business language for PMI (English)
  • Travel Requirements – up to 5%
