The Full Service Leader is responsible for managing sales territories and teams to ensure revenue targets and divisional goals are achieved. They provide direction, support, and oversight to sales staff while fostering a high-performance culture and maintaining strong client relationships.

Essential Function Responsible for directly managing DSC’s in a sales territory and/or may oversee a team of Full Service Leaders (FSL) to ensure the company’s mission and strategic direction as conveyed through policies and concrete objectives which are met through effective management of human, financial and physical resources. Provide the direction and support needed to the sales team in sales region and Field Sales Managers to ensure revenue targets are achieved. Deliver on divisional goals and objectives. Contribute to achieving day-to-day objectives.
Primary Duties
30% Plans and directs all sales related requirements for the region/province(s), to include; sales quotas and allocations, planning, producing and facilitating sales meetings in co-ordination with FSLs. Attend and participate in all sales management meetings for assigned Sales Territory. Work cohesively with manufacturers in detailing schedules and promotions for regional sales. Manage monthly profit margin, company credit goals and assume responsibilities of the FSL’s during periods of absence. Ensure proper staffing levels for Sales Territory to achieve budgeted results and manage gross margins. Work with Sales team to identify customers that have the potential to become key accounts and implement a course of action to develop them to that status. Participation in business development meetings with key clients.
30% Lead the Sales team by building a high performance sales culture, encouraging open communication, innovation and prudent risk taking and maximizing reward and recognition systems to energize teams and individuals. Travel with sales team to assess their relationships with their DSC’s, customers, evaluate their selling skills and effectiveness and provide guidance and feedback. Closely communicate with and providing oversight to the DSC’s to ensure that regular client contact is maintained.
15% Conducts regular communication with customers to determine the level of service they are receiving from the Company and to be aware of problems that require the Sales Manager’s involvement. Ensure that education events achieve maximum participation through ticket sales and promotion of the events. Schedule adequate manufacturer education events and support for salons and DSC’s.
10% Maintaining regular and prompt communication with supervisors and the Company by attending meetings, responding to calls, emails and requests for information and by alerting them to information that is important to the business.
10% Monitoring and analyzing employee performance, ensuring that desired results are achieved consistent with policies, procedures and ethical standards. Conducting performance appraisals, reinforcing good performance, taking steps to correct unsatisfactory performance, developing employees, using the corrective action process and terminating employees when necessary. Resolve problems between and among the sales team, stores and manufacturers. Manage territories by re-assigning accounts to DSC’s and re-shaping geographic coverage. Completing periodic sales, activity and status reports.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
University degree in Business Administration, Commerce or discipline related to the service
10+ years of experience in sales related fields, with a minimum of 8 years at the management level
Excellent sales management and people skills
Industry/product knowledge essential
