**Please, submit your resumé in English**

This role involves building full-stack applications used across multiple countries, working closely with the people who rely on them daily. The work is hands-on and high-autonomy: owning features end-to-end, from understanding requirements through architecture decisions, implementation, testing, and delivery. The position contributes to technical direction, collaborates with cross-functional partners to solve real operational challenges, and operates with modern tools and frameworks.

What will you do?

  • Develop, enhance, test, deploy, document, and maintain software applications across the full technology stack, including frontend, backend, database, server, networking, and solution architecture components.

  • Provide application development services and technical support for existing systems and new technology deployments. Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions and specifications.

  • Design, develop, analyze, and modify application logic to meet business needs, evaluating multiple solution options and recommending the most effective approach.

  • Write high-quality, maintainable code; create and execute test plans; perform debugging and troubleshooting; and ensure compliance with established software development standards and best practices.

  • Support and enhance cloud-based and third-party applications throughout their lifecycle, ensuring reliability, performance, security, and alignment with business objectives.

  • Develop technology strategies and implement improvements that maximize the value of existing products, while considering impacts across applications, integrations, and business processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on initiatives involving application systems, data processes, integrations, and data governance practices.

  • Take end-to-end ownership of assigned work by accurately estimating effort, delivering tested and reviewed solutions, and proactively communicating progress, risks, and blockers.

  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly and in accordance with organizational policies, ensuring the ability to understand, explain, validate, and modify all generated code.

  • Mentor and coach software developers through code reviews, technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and collaborative problem-solving activities.

  • Partner with development teams and stakeholders across the United States, Brazil, and Latin America to deliver technology solutions that support national offices, churches, and end users.

  • Engage directly with users and business partners when required to resolve software issues, gather additional requirements, and support the delivery of new functionality.

  • Interpret business and user requirements, translate them into technical implementations, and incorporate feedback received through code reviews and quality assurance processes.

  • Contribute to the definition, adoption, and continuous improvement of software engineering standards, development methodologies, and technical best practices.

  • Champion child protection by integrating safeguarding considerations into daily work, adhering to Compassion’s Child Protection policies and Code of Conduct, and reporting any concerns through established processes.
