Job Description

Our FP&A team partnering the COO organisation covers the cost base behind how Unit4 delivers to its customers — Customer Success, Professional Services, Support, IT and Data. These functions carry a significant share of the company's margin and productivity commitments.

You will:

• Own the analysis of the COO cost base across CS, PS, Support, IT and Data, covering both employee and external costs. In particular, you will:
  • Own headcount, employee cost and vacancy analysis against budget and forecast, and the assumptions behind them
  • Analyse cost of sales and determine the drivers behind movements in margin
  • Model cloud, supplier and infrastructure cost against usage, growth and contractual commitments
  • Identify, explain and challenge variances to budget and forecast by function
• Own the cost inputs to the monthly consolidated COO position, and work with the CS Global FP&A Manager to ensure the total reconciles and the story it tells holds together.
• Own the cost side of the annual budget, quarterly forecast and Value Creation Plan submissions for the remit.
• Act as finance partner to the cost function leads, advising on resourcing, investment and efficiency decisions and challenging the assumptions behind them.
• Build, own and develop the forecasting models for the functions in the remit, determining the approach where no precedent exists.
• Lead ad hoc business modelling and investment analysis, often on questions that arrive without a defined method.
• Assist in the analysis and presentation of strategic materials for key management and investor meetings.
• Drive improvement and automation of cost reporting, as reporting moves onto a governed platform.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a Finance or Business -related discipline, or an MBA
• Big 4 / consulting firm background
• Strong system and Excel skills
• Experience in a fast-paced international organization
