First Responder Ambassador - Fire/EMS Services (East Coast and Southeast)

Location:  This is a remote position with up to 40% travel to east and southeast states  

Job Summary: 

As a First Responder Ambassador, you will be responsible for fostering trust and collaboration between corporations and public safety agencies. This role will require both proactive and reactive functions to ensure effective engagement, training, and crisis management. An effective First Responder Ambassador will enhance preparedness, improve coordination across multiple organizations, improve resource utilization, and increase responder resilience. Responsibilities include training functions and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders. The role also includes financial management, client relations, and ensuring the implementation of best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Work within a team of highly skilled first responder professionals, cultivating a culture of excellence, discipline, and innovation. 
• Training and Education: Educate Fire/EMS services on how emerging transportation technologies operate, how they respond during emergency situations, and the best practices for safe and effective interaction.  
• Relationship Building: Work closely with public safety officials to ensure the safe introduction of emerging transportation technology. Build trust, enhance safety and foster collaboration. Proactive engagement, outreach, and networking through various means, i.e. conferences/presentations. Identify and resolve complex human relations issues.
• Reporting: Gather insights and feedback from first responders. Provide regular assessments, updates, and reports.
• Program Progression: Develop, communicate, and execute the program's strategic vision. Continuously elevate the capabilities and efficiency of the first responder ambassador program.
• Technical Expertise: Apply a technical understanding of new transportation technologies to support incident response and provide clear, concise information to field personnel.

Desired Qualifications:   This position calls for a seasoned Fire/EMS professional with executive leadership experience and a commitment to excellence.  The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• At least 15 years of hands-on experience as a firefighter, demonstrating expertise in fire suppression, rescue operations, and emergency response.
• At least five years in a fire executive role, showcasing leadership in managing fire department operations, resources, and personnel.
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, reflecting dedication to professional development and advanced knowledge of fire service operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, government officials, and community representatives
