フィールドアプリケーションスペシャリストは、顧客ニーズに応じた自動化システムの構築・提案、製品説明やデモ、問い合わせ対応を通じて、顧客課題の解決と安定運用を支援する業務です。また、社内外との連携、資料作成、営業支援、市場情報の収集を行い、事業拡大に貢献して頂きます。

この役割では、以下の業務を行います:

• 自動化プログラムの作成、最適化を通じ、販売した自動化システムのサポート行うと共に、顧客の声を事業のあらゆる部門に継続的に反映させ、顧客満足度の向上に継続的に努めます。
• 営業担当者と同行し、技術情報を説明すると共に、顧客ニーズを把握し、システム/ワークフローの提案を行うと共に、製品のデモンストレーションおよびプレゼンテーションを行います。
• 顧客に対して各種セミナー/取扱い説明を実施し、顧客、代理店、当社営業からの問い合わせ対応を行います。
• 顧客からの要望・不具合等をQAに報告し、必要に応じてグローバルテクニカルサポートと問題解決に取組みます。
• SFDC（セールスフォース）やTeamsなどを使用し、顧客対応状況を部内/部門内で共有すると共に各種営業資料、アプリケーションノート、簡易マニュアルの作成を行って頂きます。

この仕事の必須条件は以下の通りです:

• バイオ医薬品、ライフサイエンス市場に関する深い知識有し、研究もしくは、理化学機器のアプリケーションサポートの経験３年以上
• 日本語で顧客とコミュニケーションを取れると共に、口頭、メールを使用しながら、状況説明を行え、ビジネス英語　中級以上（会話、リーディング、ライティング）であること
• 優れた分析力、問題解決能力、ビジネス感覚を持ち、要求水準が高く、変化の速い、行動重視の環境で働く能力。
• 前向きで挑戦意欲が高く、行動力がある
• 生物学/化学/医学/薬学/工学系学士号以上

旅行、運転記録、身体的・環境的要件

• 出張可能 – 担当地域内または他地域への出張（宿泊を伴う場合あり）が80％程度発生する

以下の経験があれば望ましい。

• ラボオートメーションに関する実務経験

• 細胞、タンパク質、遺伝子解析の実務経験
• VB script等のプログラミングスキル

Field Application Specialists (FAS) support customers in solving their challenges and achieving reliable operation by designing and proposing laboratory automation systems tailored to customer needs, delivering product presentations and demonstrations, and responding to technical inquiries. In addition, they collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, prepare technical and business documentation, provide sales support, and gather market intelligence to contribute to business growth and expansion.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Support customers in implementing and optimizing laboratory automation systems by developing and refining automation programs. Continuously improve customer satisfaction by capturing the voice of the customer and communicating feedback across relevant business functions.
•  Partner with Sales Representatives to provide technical expertise, understand customer requirements, propose automation solutions and workflows, and deliver product demonstrations and presentations.
• Conduct customer training sessions, seminars, and product operation training, while responding to inquiries from customers, distributors, and internal sales teams.
• Escalate customer requests, product issues, and performance concerns to Quality Assurance (QA) and collaborate with Global Technical Support teams as needed to drive effective problem resolution.
• Utilize SFDC (Salesforce), Microsoft Teams, and other business tools to document and share customer activities within the department and across functions. Prepare sales materials, application notes, and user guides to support customer success and business growth.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Deep knowledge of the biopharmaceutical and life sciences markets, with at least 3 years of experience in research, laboratory automation, or scientific instrument application support.
• Strong communication skills in Japanese, including the ability to effectively interact with customers and explain technical situations both verbally and in writing. Intermediate or higher business-level English proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business acumen, with the ability to work in a high-demand, fast-paced, and action-oriented environment
• Positive attitude, high motivation, and strong initiative
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Chemistry, Medicine, Pharmacy, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

•  Willingness to travel (approximately 80%, including overnight travel within or outside the assigned region)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Hands-on experience with laboratory automation systems and workflows.
• Practical experience in cell-based assays, protein analysis, and genomic/genetic analysis.
• Programming skills, such as VBScript or other scripting/programming languages.
