Estate Planning & Probate Paralegal - full time or part time

We are seeking an experienced Estate Planning & Probate Paralegal to support a U.S. law firm handling estate planning, probate, trust administration, and related matters.

This is a fully remote role for a legal professional with strong drafting skills, excellent attention to detail, and hands-on experience supporting U.S. estate planning attorneys and their clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related documents.
  • Draft probate documents, petitions, notices, inventories, accountings, and other court filings.
  • Assist attorneys with probate administration and trust administration matters.
  • Gather and organize information related to estate assets, liabilities, beneficiaries, heirs, and distributions.
  • Communicate directly with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and other parties to collect information and provide case updates.
  • Prepare correspondence, legal forms, supporting documentation, and filing packages.
  • Track probate deadlines, court dates, filing requirements, and other case milestones.
  • Maintain accurate and organized digital case files.
  • Assist with document execution, notarization coordination, and estate planning signing procedures.
  • Support attorneys with legal research related to estate planning, probate, trusts, and estate administration.
  • Work within the firm’s case management and document management systems.
  • Follow established firm procedures and quality standards.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Paralegal, Lawyer, or Attorney.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with an estate planning and/or probate law firm in the United States.
  • Strong hands-on experience with estate planning, probate, trust administration, or estate administration matters.
  • Experience drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related estate planning documents.
  • Experience preparing probate pleadings and court filings.
  • Strong legal drafting and document preparation skills.
  • Experience working directly with U.S. attorneys and clients.
  • Familiarity with U.S. probate procedures and court filing requirements.
  • Strong case management and deadline tracking skills.
  • Experience with legal case management software.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 or comparable cloud-based business tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
