Equipment Finance Specialist *This role can be done from multiple locations

Toromont Cat is looking for a Equipment Finance Specialist to join our team! The Equipment Finance Specialist has a role in implementing and managing a centralized financing process for the Heavy Equipment business, who will coordinate and administer equipment financing solutions for our new and existing customers. Most of your responsibility is ensuring that Toromont’s security interests (liens) in assets are properly documented, registered, and maintained to establish priority over other potential creditors. This role plays a critical part in mitigating risk and ensuring compliance with provincial PPSA regulations.

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Work with Used Equipment, sales management, Sales Ops, provide lien searches, waivers registrations and discharges for all machines regardless of source
• Be the Dealer contact for Sales Ops, Sales team with respect to Cat Finance requirements, includes credit apps, issue quotes and finance options, approvals, funding and document process. Work in Cat Finance’s Capital Stream system to develop viable financing solutions for equipment transactions and rapid funding
• Interface with CAT Finance (both TM's and Burlington admin centre) on regular basis with respect to the deal progress, document management, use of programs and funding scenarios
• Track all equipment invoices to ensure timely funding and improve equipment invoice cycle and equipment DSO for the financed portfolio.
• Review and process all customer finance contracts to ensure consistency of process. Allocate all required funding and subsidies (including merchandising funds) to ensure all Toromont financial and Risk Management objectives are met. Facilitate the use of alternative finance solutions as required, if Cat Finance is not an option

 Must-haves for this role:

• Post-Secondary Education with 5 + years’ experience in the equipment financing/leasing industry either from the sales or credit adjudication side
• Must have knowledge in origination and transaction fulfillment for equipment sales
• Customer centric with exceptional relationship management, consulting skills and ability to provide proactive resolution to complicated situations
• Well-developed analytical, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Hands on with excellent proofreading ability with exceptional attention to detail
• Effective time-management and planning with the ability to quickly adapt to multiple and often changing schedules and priorities in a deadline driven environment
• Self directed, team-player with high integrity and initiative to be proactive in problem solving superior proficiency in Microsoft Office software (ie Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other customer based systems)
• Valid Driver’s Licence with the willingness and ability to travel as required in support of About Toromont Cat
