There is one remote opening for the Sr. Mgr Engineering SBU Finance Execution Lead (M5) role, a newly created and high‑impact leadership position within the Engineering SBU Finance organization. Reporting to the LADS Engineering SBU Finance Associate Director, this role will grow, shape, and manage the Engineering Business Analyst (EBA) organization across multiple SSBU’s and critical product lines. Through direct management of multiple team-leads, the role oversees an EBA organization of approximately 60 EBAs. This role will partner closely with Engineering, Program Management, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to drive program execution excellence across a multi-billion-dollar business unit.

They operate with autonomy, escalate when appropriate, and are energized by building talent, shaping organizational processes, and making a tangible impact across a growing business unit.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and manage the existing EBA team across multiple SSBU’s and multiple critical product lines, including 5-7 direct reports and a total team size of 40-60 EBAs.

  • Operate as a Program Controls Subject Matter Expert for your EBA team to escalate and problem-solve unique issues as they arise as well as provide expert-level guidance for new Program start-up activities.

  • Shape the organization by hiring exceptional talent. This includes resource planning with EBA managers, reviewing resumes, arranging and conducting interviews, and managing the full new‑hire process through deployment onto EBA teams.

  • Develop materials and support creation of new onboarding and training resources for EBAs and managers, with the goal of establishing an EBA Certification program.

  • Lead and improve managerial processes including Midyear and Year-End reviews, employee performance monitoring, IDP reviews, Merit cycle participation, career development discussions, and the EBA/Manager Mentor Program.

  • Participate in the Engineering Finance People’s Council as a senior leader.

  • Identify, drive, and implement projects that support process harmonization, documentation, and scalability across the organization via CORE methodology.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field & a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; OR an Advanced degree & 7 years of relevant experience

  • Experience within Finance, including Program Controls, FP&A, Functional Finance, or similar disciplines, with preference towards Program Controls

  • Experience with Earned Value (EV) & the Estimate At Complete (EAC) process

  • Experience managing large teams and/or leading people-leaders

  • Experience working with and/or partnering effectively across complex, matrixed orgs

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
