Join the Finance IT Systems Analysis team and help shape solutions that support critical financial and healthcare reporting capabilities across the organization. In this role, you will partner with business and technology leaders to translate complex business needs into scalable system solutions that drive efficiency, accuracy, and business value. Your expertise will influence project outcomes, guide technical direction, and help modernize the systems that support our finance organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the systems analysis and requirements delivery for assigned projects and applications.
• Partner with business stakeholders to define, refine, and document business requirements, reducing ambiguity and ensuring alignment on expected outcomes.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and application design documentation.
• Evaluate business challenges and recommend efficient, cost-effective technology solutions that deliver measurable value.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business and IT leaders throughout the application development lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to enhance existing applications, leverage reusable solutions, and integrate new technologies where appropriate.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, system workflows, and application functionality.
• Provide subject matter expertise on business processes, application capabilities, and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with architecture, development, testing, and business teams to support strategic initiatives and technology roadmaps.
• Troubleshoot system issues, identify process inefficiencies, and recommend improvements that enhance user experience and operational performance.
• Contribute to testing strategies, test planning, and validation activities, including participation in test evidence reviews.
• Influence cross-functional teams, provide constructive feedback, and mentor Systems Analysts in Advisor and Senior Advisor roles.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Developer, or related technology role.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, functional requirements, and system specifications.
• Strong understanding of systems analysis methodologies, processes, and best practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments and contributing to iterative delivery teams.
• Knowledge of software testing practices, quality assurance processes, and test planning.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and influence outcomes across teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting Finance IT systems or financial reporting platforms.
• Knowledge of healthcare financial reporting processes and systems.
• Prior experience working at The Cigna Group.
• Familiarity with Oracle databases, TOAD, and reporting tools such as OBIEE.
• Understanding of relational databases, midrange systems, and mainframe environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
