The E-Commerce Manager is responsible for managing the company’s e-commerce operations to maximize commercial performance while delivering a seamless online customer experience throughout the customer journey. The role develops and implements strategies for online platforms and marketplaces, digital marketing, merchandising, analytics, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. Responsibilities - Support the design of overall business and e-commerce strategies and lead their execution to achieve growth and revenue targets. - Execute Management directives and communicate decisions effectively to staff and stakeholders. - Manage company assets under the E-Commerce Department and ensure their effective deployment, documentation, and maintenance. Develop and implement digital marketing frameworks and strategies to improve online platform profitability. - Plan and monitor marketing campaigns, analyse data, and measure campaign results. Develop recommendations for effective investment tactics, strategy development, and improved sales performance. - Identify areas of underperformance and develop appropriate improvement strategies. Develop and implement strategies to improve sales across online platforms and marketplaces. - Collaborate with Store Managers and other stakeholders on customer acquisition and retention initiatives. - Acquire new accounts and expand existing accounts to support revenue targets. Use analytics to monitor sales trends and identify growth opportunities. - Research new online marketing strategies and monitor developments within the e-commerce industry. - Maximize search engine traffic and evaluate results from targeted advertising. Manage on-site search, analyse usage, and communicate insights to relevant teams. - Oversee online merchandising and drive cross-selling and upselling to increase Units Per Transaction (UPT) and Average Order Value (AOV). - Identify new marketplace and marketing opportunities to generate additional sales. Monitor stock levels and analyse online sales performance relative to physical store performance. - Develop a strong understanding of customer requirements across product categories and continuously evaluate category trends and opportunities. - Oversee web portal design, functionality, performance, and ease of navigation. Use Google Analytics to understand customer behaviour and the overall customer journey. - Analyse website traffic to guide maintenance decisions and evaluate marketing effectiveness. - Train staff on product knowledge, e-commerce marketing, stock-taking, merchandising, sales, product transfers, and customer relations. - Coach and mentor team members on industry best practices and emerging trends. Motivate team members to achieve and exceed established goals and targets. - Oversee compliance with relevant health and safety measures. Promote professional values, continuous learning, innovation, and new ideas. - Take responsibility for team performance and ensure adherence to reports, goals, resources, work plans, and other operational deliverables Requirements - Minimum of an HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Operations, Marketing Management, Information Systems, or a related field. Diploma in Digital Marketing. - Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a similar role. Strong understanding of e-commerce operations and online retailing. - Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and advertising campaigns. Knowledge of Google Analytics. - Understanding of website design and management. - Knowledge of inventory and stock management. Understanding of category development and online merchandising. - Strong data analysis and analytics capability. - Knowledge of marketing tools, ad management, and marketing automation.
