Key Responsibilities

• Review, assess, and moderate user-generated content on social media platforms in Sofia, ensuring strict adherence to community guidelines and platform policies.
• Identify, investigate, and escalate harmful, abusive, or policy-violating content, including misinformation, hate speech, graphic material, and fraudulent activity targeting Sofia-speaking audiences.
• Analyse patterns of suspicious behaviour, coordinated inauthentic activity, and potential threats to platform integrity within the social media environment.
• Make accurate, consistent, and well-reasoned decisions regarding content removal, account suspension, and user safety interventions in line with established trust and safety frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including policy, legal, and engineering departments to refine content moderation guidelines and improve safety protocols.
• Document and report recurring trends, emerging risks, and systemic issues to support continuous improvement of trust and safety operations across social media channels.
• Provide timely feedback and recommendations to improve the quality and consistency of content review processes for Dutch-language markets.
• Maintain a high standard of mental resilience and professional judgement when handling sensitive, distressing, or complex content as part of daily social media moderation duties.

Requirements

• Native or fluent Dutch language proficiency (both spoken and written) is essential for this role.
• Valid EU passport is mandatory.
• Strong working knowledge of English for internal communication, reporting, and collaboration within an international team environment.
• Prior experience in trust and safety, content moderation, digital policy enforcement, or a related field within the social media or technology industry is highly advantageous.
• Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills with the ability to apply nuanced judgement to complex and sensitive content scenarios.
• A high degree of cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly in relation to Dutch-speaking markets, social media trends, and online community dynamics.
• Strong emotional resilience and the ability to manage exposure to potentially distressing content in a professional and structured manner.
