Role overview

As Director of Talent Development, you will lead strategic talent development initiatives and serve as a key partner to our Professional Services Team (PST). Reporting to the AVP of Talent Development, you will play a pivotal role in designing and executing talent development programs that support career growth, organizational effectiveness, and business alignment. You will work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure that our talent development data is accurate, actionable and aligned with the business needs. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with a passion for people development and experience in people analytics.

Responsibilities

● Lead the design and delivery of high-impact talent development initiatives - such as onboarding, colleague engagement, leadership development, and coaching and mentoring programs - that support colleague career progression and foster long term colleague engagement

● Develop relationships with Professional Services Team (PST) leadership and colleagues to understand development needs, career aspirations, and emerging talent challenges, while coaching managers on performance and team dynamics to strengthen leadership capability and consistency across the firm

● Lead the firm's performance management processes for PST (e.g., 90-day feedback, annual reviews, upward feedback) in collaboration with calibration committees and ensure alignment with talent development strategy

● Partner with the Enterprise Architecture team to design, implement, and continuously improve the integrated systems and tools that support talent processes, enhance data quality, and enable data-driven decision-making

● Analyze talent development trends, forecasts, and capability gaps; provide recommendations to leadership on investments, program design, and organizational development priorities

● Serve as a strategic partner to recruiting, learning, finance, and talent operations teams to ensure talent development initiatives are integrated with broader people strategy

● Develop and mentor the talent development team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, data literacy, and strategic thinking

● Demonstrate an understanding of our DEIB tenets and a commitment to our firm's core values in daily interactions

Qualifications and desired skills

● Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required; Master’s degree preferred

● 8+ years of progressive experience in talent development, people operations, or human resources

● Demonstrated experience with people analytics, data-driven decision-making, and translating data into actionable insights

● Experience in professional services, management consulting, or similar knowledge-intensive environments

● Proven expertise in designing and implementing talent development programs, including leadership development, coaching, and performance management

● Strong strategic thinker with the ability to see connections between talent development, business strategy, and organizational performance

● Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and bring structure to new or evolving areas, with a focus on process improvement

● Excellent project management and systems thinking skills; ability to manage complexity while maintaining clarity

● Strong leadership presence and credibility; demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive organizational change and influence senior leaders to achieve buy-in

● Technologically savvy with experience implementing and optimizing HR systems and tools; comfort with data analytics tools and platforms

● High level of emotional intelligence; demonstrated ability to build trust, show empathy, coach effectively, and develop others

● Outstanding judgment, maturity, and integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information

Salary range: $147,000-$205,000, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
