Position Overview:
This position offers you the opportunity to join our rapidly growing organization. We're looking for people with initiative, autonomy, and leadership ability to optimize both process and delivery around our Security offerings.
In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising our Security Operations Center in providing excellent customer service and resolving all technical issues. As Director, you should have a solid technical security background combined with customer service expertise. A problem-solving attitude with an ability to motivate your team to achieve specific goals are essential skills to perform well in this position. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure high quality technical support and increase client satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Oversee the daily operations of Thrive’s Security Operations Center which includes leading and mentoring team of Tier 1 and Tier 2 SOC Analysts
· Primarily responsible for security event monitoring, incident response, and resource management
· Develop and implement processes and procedures for incident response, threat detection and analysis, security event management, and reporting.
· Develop playbooks for incident response and incident management processes, including threat triage, incident investigation, and incident resolution.
· Ensure compliance to Service Level Agreement, process adherence and process improvement to achieve operational objectives.
· Perform threat management, threat modeling, identify threat vectors and develop use cases for security monitoring.
· Proactive monitoring and response to known and/or emerging threats.
· Creation of reports, dashboards, and metrics for clients and Sr. Mgmt.
· Motivate and coach individual contributors to achieve departmental goals and drive excellent and consistent customer service.
· Drive continuous improvement of SOC incident handling and security investigations.
· Define metrics and KPIs to drive quality and efficiency.
· Conduct annual performance reviews for all direct reports.
· Uphold procedural requirements around prioritization, communication, documentation, escalations, etc.
· Follow up with customers to identify areas of improvement and provide customer feedback to the appropriate internal teams and management.
· Escalation point for SOC customer service and technical issues.
· Ability to adjust priorities and balance responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
· Other duties as required.
