The Director of Recruitment leads a field-based team to execute recruitment strategies for the School of Medicine and School of Veterinary Medicine. They are responsible for driving inquiry growth, application volume, and conversion rates while managing territory-level performance and external partnerships.

This is a primarily remote role.

What You’ll Do
The Director of Admissions builds and leads a high-performing, field-based recruitment team supporting SGU's School of Medicine (SOM) and School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM). This role owns recruitment strategy and execution across a geographically dispersed U.S. territory structure, translating national goals into territory-level plans that drive inquiry growth, application volume, admit rates, and deposit conversion.
The Director collaborates closely with the Vice President of Student Recruitment, and the Directors of Admissions for Med/Vet. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, strong people leader, and results-driven operator who leverages data and process discipline to achieve outcomes and advance SGU’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Recruitment & Admissions Leadership
Team Leadership & Development
· Lead, coach, and develop a team of field-based admissions/recruitment professionals across multiple U.S. territories.
· Set clear individual and team KPIs; hold team accountable through regular one-on-ones, ride-alongs/event observation, and performance reviews.
· Ensure consistency of operations, professional growth, and alignment across all team members.
External Engagement & Brand Building
· Cultivate and expand relationships with pre-health/pre-vet advisors, campus clubs, alumni ambassadors, and other referral sources in key territories.
· Represent SGU at recruitment fairs, conferences, and campus events as a visible, credible ambassador of the institution.
· Continuously refine the prospective-student journey — event formats, follow-up communications, advising touchpoints — based on funnel data and field feedback.
Collaboration & Mission Alignment
· Work across admissions, financial aid, marketing, and academic affairs to keep the prospective-student experience seamless from first touch to enrollment.
· Uphold the highest standards of integrity and compliance in all recruitment activity, consistent with accreditation and institutional standards.

Work Environment & Travel
The anticipated salary range is $120,000 to $130,000 per year. The final salary offered may vary and will be determined based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, location, and education of the successful candidate.
