AI Summary

The Director of Product Marketing will define and execute the go-to-market strategy for NetBrain's Agentic NetOps platform, focusing on competitive differentiation and value-based messaging. This role involves leading product launches, creating sales enablement tools, and partnering with cross-functional teams to align product roadmaps with market needs.

Founded in 2004, NetBrain is the leader in no-code network automation. Its ground-breaking Next-Gen platform provides IT operations teams with the ability to scale their hybrid multi-cloud connected networks by automating the processes associated with Diagnostic Troubleshooting, Outage Prevention and Protected Change Management.  Today, over 2,500 of the world’s largest enterprises and managed services providers leverage NetBrain’s platform.

What We Need

We are hiring a Director of Product Marketing to identify, package, and take to market the differentiated story that sets NetBrain apart in the emerging Agentic NetOps market. This role translates a deep, technically formidable product into a differentiated story and target use cases that economic buyers reach for, and that sellers can deliver consistently.  You will partner with the VP / Head of Solutions Marketing, Product, Sales, and Engineering leadership to define how NetBrain is positioned, packaged, and brought to market across use cases and buyer types.

What You'll Do

Competitive Differentiation & Positioning. NetBrain competes in a crowded network automation and observability market that is evolving quickly. This role's first charter is to spotlight NetBrain's true differentiation, package it into a value architecture that maps to executive outcomes (CIOs, VPs of Infrastructure, and the operators they lead), and take that story to market without losing credibility with technical practitioners. Develop the messaging frameworks Sales, Marketing, and Field SE teams reach for, and keep the differentiated narrative coherent across releases, use cases, and market shifts. Stay close to the competitive landscape so the story is sharpened against real alternatives, not built in a vacuum; battlecards and field competitive enablement sit elsewhere on the team, but the differentiation you lead is what needs to win.

Agentic NetOps Narrative. Lead the product-side narrative for how NetBrain shows up in the emerging Agentic NetOps category, how we apply AI, how customers interact with our agents, and what the value architecture of an agentic platform looks like for infrastructure teams. Develop the message track that connects agentic capability to measurable operational value, fewer outages, faster mean time to resolution, reduced toil, for both economic and technical audiences. Partner with Analyst Relations to land that narrative with the analyst community.

Use Case Discovery & Go-to-Market. Once the differentiated story is set, identify the net-new, high-value use cases inside NetBrain’s product capabilities, together with Product, Sales, and the field, that deserve their own go-to-market treatment rather than living as a buried feature. Build the business case for why a use case is worth taking to market, then lead the motion that gets it there: naming, positioning, proof points, packaging implications, enablement, and launch sequencing. Treat use-case discovery as a repeatable discipline, not a one-time exercise, so NetBrain continually finds new paths to revenue inside capability it has already built.

Marketecture and Launch. Partner with Solutions Marketing, Product, and Engineering to refine the NetBrain product marketecture, the structure, naming, and packaging of how the product portfolio is presented to the market. Lead the launch motion that brings the resulting structure to market: launch messaging, enablement assets, launch sequencing across Sales, Marketing, and Field, and the cross-functional alignment that makes a launch land.

Sales Tools. Lead the sales toolkit that lets Sales and Solutions Engineering sell NetBrain confidently at every stage of the deal—the core pitch deck, discovery and qualification guides, ROI and business-case tools, and objection-handling material. Partner with GTM Enablement to set the enablement roadmap, identify what needs to exist and when, and deliver the flagship assets—directing the Sr. Product Marketing Manager on solution-specific assets—so the toolkit stays current as positioning, use cases, and the competitive landscape shift.

Voice of Market. Build a strong, ongoing relationship with Product Management so Solutions Marketing has a standing voice in roadmap conversations, not a reaction to decisions already made. Bring one unified Solutions Marketing point of view into that relationship, weaving in what the team is learning through pricing and ICP work, competitive intelligence, and the customer-voice program, so Product hears a coherent perspective rather than a stream of disconnected inputs. Use the relationship to keep positioning and the roadmap honest with each other as both evolve, surfacing early where they're converging or drifting apart.

You Might Be a Fit If

  • You have 8+ years in Product Marketing, with at least 4 years leading platform or multi-product positioning in B2B enterprise software
  • You have found and articulated genuine competitive differentiation in a crowded market—not just cataloged features—and packaged it into a story that changes how buyers evaluate the category, not just how they evaluate your product
  • You have launched and positioned a product portfolio—not just a single feature—and can show the narrative architecture you built to connect capability clusters to outcomes
  • You have found and brought a new, non-obvious use case to market inside an existing product—defining it, building the business case, and leading the launch, rather than only marketing what Product handed you already-named
  • You have led a product marketecture redesign or significant repackaging effort, and can talk through what changed and why it landed
  • You translate deeply technical capability into a value story economic buyers act on, without losing the credibility you need with technical practitioners
  • You have marketed to both technical buyers (engineers, IT operations) and business buyers (CIOs, VPs of Infrastructure)
  • You think in narrative architectures, not slide-by-slide assets—you build the story once and let it cascade
  • You are competitively aware—you read the market, factor it into positioning, and work cleanly with the teammates who lead field competitive enablement
  • You have built a trusted, ongoing relationship with Product Management and used it to bring a unified go-to-market point of view into roadmap planning—not just relayed isolated customer requests
  • You have built or led the core sales enablement toolkit for a B2B software team—pitch decks, discovery guides, ROI tools—not just contributed to it
  • You have managed, mentored, or closely partnered with more junior marketers, and are ready to build out the function as this team grows
  • You are analytically rigorous about what is and is not landing, and iterate on positioning with evidence, not opinion
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and a function being built around you
  • You are low ego and high ownership, and drive alignment across Product, Sales, and Marketing without positional authority
  • Manual Dexterity: Repetitive motion of wrists, hands and fingers for using a computer.
  • Stationary Tasks: Sitting for extended periods, remaining in a stationary position.

Nice to Have

  • Experience marketing platforms with AI, agentic, or automation capabilities
  • Background in network management, observability, infrastructure automation, or adjacent technical infrastructure markets
  • Experience leading a major product launch or marketecture re-launch
  • Familiarity with the analyst landscape around network automation and observability
  • Bachelor's degree; MBA helpful but not required
