Director of Quality Engineering

Software teams love to say they move fast. At Assembly, weekly releases are just Tuesday. We're rebuilding what quality engineering means in an AI-native world, where agents generate, run, and grade tests alongside people, and we're looking for someone who wants to define that shift, not just adapt to it.

Picture being the person engineering and product come to first, not because you own a queue, but because you've earned a reputation for judgment. If you've spent your career figuring out how real quality gets built into fast-moving software, and you're already thinking hard about how AI changes that job, this one was built with you in mind.

You'd be walking into a genuine inflection point: leading a team through the shift from manual QA to an agentic practice, shaping how we define and measure quality, and having a real voice in how fast this company is able to move. It's a leadership role and a builder's role at the same time, and it reports directly into our security and engineering leadership.

With the exception of an occasional visit to our Miami, FL office, we rely on Teams and Zoom for virtual video meetings, so when you work at Assembly, you get to work in the comfort of your own home in your PJs if you’d like!
