Position: Director of Product Marketing
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Director of Product Marketing will shape how Interplay brings its products, solutions, and expertise to market as the company continues to scale and expand into new industries.
This is a strategic leadership role with broad ownership across portfolio positioning, market intelligence, product launches, go-to-market strategy, customer advocacy, PR, and revenue enablement. You'll help define how we understand our buyers, differentiate our products, enter and grow within priority markets, and translate complex technology into compelling customer value.
You'll partner closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, Growth, and executive leadership—and have a meaningful voice in product and go-to-market decisions. You'll also lead and develop a product marketing team, building the capabilities, processes, and strategic discipline needed to support Interplay's next stage of growth.

What you’ll do:
Set Portfolio Strategy & Positioning
- Define product marketing strategy across Interplay's portfolio and priority industries, aligned with company growth goals and the product roadmap.
- Own messaging architecture, value propositions, industry positioning, buyer narratives, and competitive differentiation.
- Translate customer, market, and competitive insights into recommendations that influence product and business strategy.
Lead Go-to-Market & Launches
- Lead cross-functional GTM strategy for new products, capabilities, programs, and strategic initiatives from early planning through launch and optimization.
- Establish launch strategy, audiences, positioning, readiness requirements, owners, timing, and success measures.
- Build repeatable GTM processes that improve alignment and execution across Product, Sales, CS, and Growth.
Drive Revenue & Market Activation
- Equip Sales and Customer Success with the messaging, personas, competitive insights, content, training, and tools they need to win.
- Partner with Growth and Demand Gen to translate positioning into campaigns that build awareness, pipeline, and adoption.
- Use performance data and customer insights to continuously improve messaging, enablement, and market impact.
Build Market Credibility & Customer Advocacy
- Lead PR strategy and agency relationships, including media relations, thought leadership, and launch communications.
- Build customer advocacy programs spanning case studies, testimonials, customer stories, video, and the Interplay Excellence Awards.
- Identify and develop strategic opportunities across industry events, speaking engagements, awards, webinars, and other channels.
Lead the Product Marketing Team
- Lead, coach, and develop the product marketing team and contractors.
- Establish priorities, operating rhythms, standards, and measures of success.
- Build a high-performing, collaborative team that can scale with the business.

Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressive B2B product marketing experience, including 4+ years leading and developing teams.
- Experience in B2B SaaS, technology, EdTech, workforce development, industrial technology, or a related environment.
- Proven success developing product positioning, messaging, and GTM strategy across multiple products, markets, or vertical industries.
- Experience translating complex technology or technical products into compelling buyer value, differentiated messaging, and effective sales enablement.
- Track record leading complex, cross-functional product launches from strategy through execution and measurement.
- Strong market intelligence, competitive research, customer insight, and win/loss experience, with the ability to turn findings into business recommendations.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience marketing to skilled trades, industrial, manufacturing, facilities, education, or workforce development organizations.
- Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, Allego, or market intelligence platforms.
- Experience marketing products that incorporate AI, VR, simulations, hardware, or other emerging technologies

- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without stipulations and be residents of the United States.

Pay: $160k-$180k annual salary
Final compensation will reflect the candidate's experience and demonstrated impact.
