Leggett & Platt Flooring Products is seeking a Director of Hospitality to lead growth for our Hospitality business. Leggett & Platt Inc. is a leading U.S. manufacturer of carpet cushion and hard-surface underlayment. Our Flooring businesses manufacture and distribute foam, rubber, and fiber-based flooring underlayment for residential and commercial applications, helping provide support, cushioning, and noise reduction under finished flooring materials.

This leadership role will set and execute the hospitality growth strategy, expand strategic relationships, strengthen market visibility, and build a disciplined commercial pipeline across hospitality and commercial construction. The Director will connect market insight with sales execution, product positioning, and cross-functional partnership to deliver sustainable growth and an exceptional customer experience.

What you will do

Strategy and growth

  • Own and execute the hospitality business development strategy, including target segments, priority accounts, channels, partnerships, and market-expansion plans.
  • Identify high-value opportunities with hotel brands, ownership and management groups, developers, designers, architects, procurement firms, contractors, distributors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Translate market and customer insights into clear commercial priorities, account plans, and recommendations for products, programs, and go-to-market activity.
  • Build the Hospitality brand and value proposition through industry engagement, presentations, strategic partnerships, and customer-facing initiatives.
  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements and guide opportunities from early project identification through product specification, purchase order, and post-sale follow-through.

Commercial leadership and execution

  • Lead, coach, and develop the hospitality business development team, establishing clear expectations, priorities, operating rhythms, and accountability for results.
  • Create a consistent pipeline-management process and ensure opportunities, activities, contacts, and next steps are accurately maintained in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
  • Establish performance measures, monitor results, and provide reliable forecasts, business updates, and recommended actions to senior leadership.
  • Improve lead qualification, account coverage, sales tools, and CRM practices to increase focus, speed, visibility, and conversion.
  • Partner with internal sales and support teams to coordinate account strategy, customer engagement, project execution, and issue resolution.

Cross-functional partnership

  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and other partners to align customer needs with business capabilities and growth priorities.
  • Provide the voice of the customer and market to support product development, positioning, pricing, demand planning, and service improvements.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and on-site presentations, as appropriate.
  • Promote a high-performance, customer-focused culture grounded in ownership, collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Hospitality, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Progressive business development, sales, or commercial leadership experience, ideally within hospitality, FF&E, flooring, building products, commercial interiors, or a related project-driven industry.
  • Demonstrated success developing markets, winning strategic accounts, leading complex sales cycles, and delivering profitable growth.
  • Experience leading and developing teams, creating accountability, and influencing across functions without relying on formal authority.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to build credibility with senior customers, partners, and internal leaders.
  • Commercial acumen, including forecasting, pipeline management, negotiations, business-case development, and understanding of sales performance measures.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information and move stakeholders to action.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-value initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and travel as needed to serve customers, advance opportunities, and represent the business.
