AI Summary

The Director of Business Development is responsible for driving net-new customer acquisition and managing the full new-business lifecycle. This includes prospecting, executive-level engagement, solution development, and deal structuring to achieve top-line growth.

Description

Director of Business Development (Product and Service) About Ballymore and DOC Ballymore designs and manufactures material handling and access equipment. DOC is the service arm that puts it to work in the field — installation, inspections, fleet support, and ongoing service for industrial, warehouse, and distribution customers.

We work at the operation level, not the order level — finding the inefficiencies in how a facility stores and moves product, then engineering them out: reclaiming floor space, cutting touches and travel time, improving throughput, and replacing four vendors with one accountable partner. Customers come to us for a total solution: the assessment, the equipment, the installation, and the service program that sustains the gain. Together we sell and support the full lifecycle: the equipment, the space it lives in, and the program that keeps it running in an environment that keeps workers safe.

Position Summary: The Rainmaker (Hunter) is a frontline revenue leader responsible for driving net-new customer acquisition for the company’s highest-growth revenue streams. This role owns the full new-business lifecycle, including prospecting, executive-level engagement, solution development, deal structuring, and close. The Hunter builds and manages a high-quality pipeline and consistently converts opportunities into profitable revenue. Success is measured by new client acquisition, pipeline health and velocity, close rate, and direct contribution to top-line growth.

Why This Opportunity-- This is a territory you build, not an inherited book of business. The programs you'll carry — BallyQ, Mobile Aisle Racking, Material Handling/Fleet, and Rack Inspections — are in active growth mode, which means open white space, real pricing latitude, and deals you can point to as yours. You'll work directly with leadership rather than through layers, and with the operations teams who deliver what you sell, so what you close actually gets executed. If you want a seat where your number is visible and your wins compound, this is it.

This role offers flexibility on location for the right candidate — we're open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S. who can travel to customers, prospects, and industry events. Expect approximately 50% travel.
