The Director of Marketing will own demand generation and marketing operations, including setting pipeline targets and managing the marketing budget. They will lead a team to execute campaigns across various channels while overseeing systems for lead scoring, routing, and attribution.
Demand Generation and Marketing Operations | Remote, United States
Opensend is an identity and enrichment platform for ecommerce brands. We help marketers recognize anonymous shoppers and act on that insight across email, SMS, advertising and analytics. We are bootstrapped, profitable, beyond USD 10 million in ARR, and serve close to 1,000 customers with a team of about 65.
We are hiring a Director of Marketing to own demand generation and marketing operations. You will set the pipeline plan, run the programs, own the systems and data that measure them, and lead a small team. You will work closely with Sales, Partnerships, Revenue Operations and Product Marketing, and you will take on a growing share of marketing leadership as our fractional VP of Marketing hands off.
This is a builder's role. You will launch a campaign this month and build the measurement that tells us whether to scale it next quarter.
The demand plan: pipeline targets, channel mix, program calendar and budget.
Campaigns across paid, email, webinars, events, account-based programs and SEO.
Marketing operations: automation, lead scoring, routing, attribution and reporting.
Go-to-market campaigns for new verticals and products.
Customer marketing programs that drive cross-sell and retention.
Co-marketing with agency and technology partners.
A small, growing team and the contractors and agencies who support it.
You will be the first full-time leader accountable for marketing-sourced revenue at a profitable company with a clear growth plan, and your scope will grow as leadership of the function moves to you. Your work will be visible to the executive team every week, and we are expanding into new products and verticals, so there are new markets to open, not only existing channels to tune.
Ten or more years in B2B marketing, including five or more in demand generation at a SaaS company.
Ownership of a marketing-sourced pipeline number and the budget behind it.
You are a self-starter with hands-on experience with HubSpot, Marketo or similar, including scoring, routing and attribution.
Experience managing people and contractors.
Analytical habits: you can show which programs produced revenue.
Experience marketing to marketers.
Marketing martech, data or identity products to ecommerce and DTC brands.
Partner or ecosystem-led demand, for example in the Shopify or Klaviyo ecosystems.
Launching into a new vertical.
Taking over a function from a fractional or interim leader.
You like owning a number. You are happy writing an email nurture one day and rebuilding lead routing the next, you trust data over opinions, and you want the scope to build a team and a function rather than inherit one.
United States base salary: USD 165,000 to 195,000.
Canada base salary: CAD 150,000 to 180,000.
