Digital Marketing Specialist — FinTech, Social Media, Community & Thought Leadership

Pay: $35.75–$42.90 per hour

Work Location: Remote

Engagement: Fractional / Contract

Industry Focus: FinTech / Financial Services

About ATQLeads

ATQLeads is a Go-to-Market Execution Partner built for B2B companies that need more execution capacity without adding the cost, complexity, and rigidity of building every capability in-house.

We help companies turn GTM strategy into execution across growth, marketing, RevOps, systems, automation, data, and revenue operations.

FinTech Industry Experience

This role requires prior experience marketing within FinTech, financial services, or a closely related B2B financial technology environment.

You should be comfortable creating and managing content for audiences that may include:

  • Banks and financial institutions
  • Credit unions
  • FinTech companies
  • Banking and financial services executives
  • Technology and innovation leaders within financial institutions
  • Other B2B stakeholders across the financial services ecosystem

You should understand that marketing to financial institutions requires a different level of credibility, precision, industry awareness, and subject-matter fluency than general B2B social media marketing.

You don't need to be a banking expert, but you should be able to quickly understand industry terminology, recognize relevant conversations and trends, and turn complex FinTech topics into compelling content for a professional audience.

Role Overview

The Digital Marketing Specialist is the operator responsible for turning a company's expertise, brand, and community into consistent market visibility and engagement.

For this opportunity, we're specifically looking for someone with experience in the FinTech and financial services ecosystem, with an understanding of audiences such as banks, credit unions, financial institutions, and financial technology companies.

What You'll Do

Social Media Execution

Own the day-to-day execution of social channels across platforms such as LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and others relevant to the client's audience.

This includes:

  • Manage and maintain social media calendars across multiple platforms
  • Draft, edit, schedule, and publish social content
  • Adapt content to the native format, audience, and culture of each platform
  • Turn long-form ideas into platform-specific posts, threads, short-form videos, clips, carousels, and other formats
  • Maintain a consistent publishing cadence
  • Identify relevant trends and conversations the company should participate in
  • Coordinate creative assets required for social campaigns
  • Monitor performance and identify which topics, formats, hooks, and channels are generating the strongest response
  • Continuously improve content based on engagement, reach, audience growth, and downstream business impact

You understand that a LinkedIn post shouldn't simply be copied onto X or turned into a TikTok script. Each platform has its own distribution mechanics and audience behavior.

Thought Leadership Pipeline Management

Help turn the expertise inside the company into a repeatable thought leadership engine.

You'll manage the pipeline from idea → capture → creation → approval → distribution → repurposing → measurement.

This can include:

  • Work with founders, executives, and subject matter experts to extract ideas and insights
  • Maintain a backlog of thought leadership topics and content opportunities
  • Turn rough ideas, voice notes, interviews, internal discussions, webinars, and company insights into usable content
  • Coordinate content creation and approvals
  • Maintain visibility into what is being drafted, reviewed, approved, scheduled, and published
  • Repurpose high-performing ideas across multiple channels and formats
  • Identify opportunities to build recurring content themes and recognizable points of view
  • Ensure valuable ideas don't disappear inside Slack messages, meetings, or someone's notes

Your job is to help create a system, not a collection of disconnected posts.

Community Management & Engagement

Build and manage the company's presence within the communities where its audience already spends time.

This includes:

  • Monitor comments, mentions, replies, DMs, and relevant conversations
  • Engage thoughtfully with prospects, customers, partners, creators, and industry voices
  • Develop engagement routines for company and executive accounts
  • Identify conversations where the company or its leadership can add meaningful value
  • Build relationships with relevant creators, operators, customers, and industry stakeholders
  • Surface recurring questions, objections, trends, and audience insights back to the GTM team
  • Identify highly engaged community members and potential advocates
  • Help turn passive audiences into active communities around the brand

Community management here isn't customer support or replying with generic comments. It's about deliberately building relationships and increasing the company's relevance within its market.

Content Distribution & Repurposing

Maximize the value of every piece of content produced.

A single webinar, podcast, interview, report, or executive conversation might become:

  • LinkedIn posts
  • X threads and posts
  • TikTok / short-form video scripts
  • Video clips
  • Carousels
  • Newsletter content
  • Blog content
  • Community discussions
  • Sales enablement content

You'll help identify which ideas deserve additional distribution and which formats and channels are most appropriate.

The objective is to create content leverage rather than constantly starting from zero.

PR & Media Support — Plus

PR experience is not mandatory, but it is a meaningful advantage.

Depending on the engagement, you may help:

  • Identify relevant journalists, publications, podcasts, newsletters, and industry media
  • Maintain media and influencer lists
  • Identify timely angles and potential stories
  • Coordinate pitches and contributed content
  • Support executive podcast and media appearances
  • Track media mentions and earned coverage
  • Repurpose PR wins across social and owned channels
  • Coordinate with external PR partners when applicable

We're particularly interested in candidates who understand how social media, executive thought leadership, community, and earned media reinforce each other.

Three Phases of Execution

Foundation

Audit the client's existing social presence, content library, audience, executive profiles, community activity, and current publishing workflow.

Establish the operating system required to execute consistently: content calendar, thought leadership backlog, approval workflow, publishing cadence, community management process, and baseline performance metrics.

Deliverable: a functioning organic content and community engine with clear ownership, workflows, publishing cadence, and baseline metrics.

Ongoing

Manage the content pipeline and publishing calendar. Coordinate thought leadership production. Publish and distribute content. Engage with the community. Repurpose strong ideas across channels. Monitor conversations and identify new opportunities.

Report on what's working, what's not, and what should change.

Deliverable: consistent multi-channel execution, growing engagement with the target audience, and a healthy pipeline of thought leadership content.

Optimization

Use performance data and audience feedback to improve the engine.

Identify which topics, formats, platforms, executives, hooks, and content styles generate the strongest engagement and business relevance.

Double down on what works. Eliminate low-value activity. Test new formats and distribution strategies. Identify opportunities to expand into new channels, communities, partnerships, or PR.

Deliverable: increasing organic reach, engagement, audience quality, and thought leadership impact over time.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

You'll work closely with GTM Strategists, Growth Marketers, GTM Engineers, company leadership, and other client stakeholders.

You may receive positioning, ICP, and messaging direction from the GTM Strategist, then translate that strategy into ongoing organic execution.

You'll work directly with founders and executives when managing thought leadership programs and may coordinate with designers, video editors, writers, PR partners, and other specialists when required.

Most importantly, you keep the execution moving.

You don't allow the content pipeline to stop because an executive forgot to send a draft or because an idea is sitting somewhere waiting for approval. You proactively manage dependencies and create momentum.

Strategic Ownership

After onboarding, you're expected to generate your own ideas.

You identify:

  • Topics the company should be talking about
  • Conversations it should participate in
  • Content worth repurposing
  • Executives whose expertise should be amplified
  • Communities worth engaging with
  • Formats worth testing
  • Emerging industry conversations
  • Potential collaborations and partnerships
  • PR and media opportunities when relevant

You don't measure success simply by how many posts were published.

You look at whether the company's visibility, credibility, audience, engagement, and influence within its target market are actually increasing.

Requirements

Required Experience

  • Hands-on social media management experience
  • Strong experience with LinkedIn and at least one additional major platform such as X or TikTok
  • Content calendar and editorial pipeline management
  • Community management and audience engagement
  • Executive or founder thought leadership support
  • Content repurposing and multi-channel distribution
  • Social analytics and performance reporting
  • Strong written English and communication skills
  • Experience operating remotely with distributed teams

Strong Plus

  • PR, media relations, or earned media experience
  • Podcast outreach and guest placement
  • Journalist / media database management
  • Influencer or creator partnerships
  • B2B or SaaS experience
  • Executive personal brand management
  • Short-form video and TikTok experience
  • Basic video editing or creative production capabilities
  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate content research, repurposing, and production
