You will support, configure, and maintain AWS cloud environments and automated delivery pipelines. Additionally, you will monitor system health, implement security-hardening practices, and provide technical documentation for operations.
You will support the AWS cloud environments and delivery pipelines behind the California Air Resources Board's Building Embodied Carbon Reporting Tool. You will help configure infrastructure, automate deployments, strengthen security, and keep cloud services observable and reliable throughout implementation. Your troubleshooting and documentation will help development and operations teams release changes efficiently and maintain the solution after launch.
This is an RFP proposal-contingent opportunity to be awarded late Fall. US Citizenship, Green Card or C2C
WORKSITE: Remote - United States; California residency is not required
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time support during initial implementation, generally Monday-Friday from approximately 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Pacific Time; transitions to a limited number of ongoing monthly operations and maintenance hours after implementation
PAY RATE: $70.00/hour W2

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Support the configuration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AWS cloud environments.
Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes for application and infrastructure changes.
Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code practices and reusable deployment templates.
Monitor application and infrastructure health; maintain logging and alerting and respond to performance, availability, and deployment issues.
Apply security-hardening practices, support access controls and vulnerability remediation, and help maintain secure cloud configurations.
Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, operational runbooks, configuration records, and troubleshooting guidance.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Mid-level professional experience supporting DevOps, cloud engineering, site reliability, platform engineering, or cloud operations.
Hands-on experience supporting AWS cloud services, environments, deployments, monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, Git-based development workflows, and release support.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools or practices, such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or a comparable platform, is preferred.
Working knowledge of cloud security, identity and access management, configuration management, scripting, documentation, and collaboration within Agile software-delivery teams.
Ability to provide full-time Pacific Time support during implementation and transition to limited monthly operations and maintenance hours afterward; relevant AWS or DevOps certifications are preferred but not required.
