Delivery Consultant, Nutanix Migration

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Consultant - Nutanix Migration to lead the Nutanix migration and all associated technical work. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end technical execution of the migration, from discovery and assessment of the existing vSphere environment through migration planning, Nutanix Move execution, guest remediation, application validation, and operational handoff. 

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and assessment of the existing vSphere estate: VM inventory, dependencies, network/VLAN mapping, storage profiles, guest OS and application constraints
• Design and document the migration wave plan, including grouping by application dependency, maintenance windows, rollback criteria, and success criteria
• Deploy, configure, and operate Nutanix Move at scale, including seeding, delta syncs, cutover scheduling, and throughput tuning
• Identify and remediate VMs that are not Move-eligible (unsupported guest OS, RDMs, shared disks, VMware Tools issues, snapshots) and define alternate migration paths
• Coordinate cutovers with application owners, execute post-migration validation, and manage issue triage
• Handle guest-level post-migration tasks: VirtIO driver installation, VMware Tools removal, NGT installation, IP/MAC retention, and license re-validation
• Produce operational runbooks, as-built documentation, and knowledge transfer for the customer's operations team
• Track and report migration progress, risks, and issues to the project lead on a weekly basis

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise virtualization experience, including 3+ years hands-on with Nutanix AHV, Prism Element, and Prism Central
• Demonstrated experience leading at least one VMware-to-Nutanix migration of 500+ VMs using Nutanix Move
• Strong working knowledge of vSphere (ESXi, vCenter, vDS, vSAN or SAN-backed storage) sufficient to assess and prepare the source environment
• Experience with Nutanix external storage configurations (NCI with third-party arrays) and Fibre Channel or iSCSI SAN connectivity
• Experience with Windows and Linux guest OS remediation in migration contexts
• Ability to work independently with application owners and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Nutanix Certified Professional – Multicloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI) or higher

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Pure Storage FlashArray (Purity, ActiveCluster, volume management, host connectivity)
• Experience with HPE Synergy (OneView, server profiles, Virtual Connect / Interconnect configuration)
• Nutanix Certified Master or NCX certification
• Experience with Nutanix Flow, Prism Central automation, or API/scripting (PowerShell, Python, REST) for migration tooling and reporting
• Prior experience in a consulting or services-delivery role

NOTE: This role is for a 6+ month contract. Candidates can be anywhere in the USA or Canada.
