DE&A - Core - Cloud Data Engineering - Databricks

The role is responsible for supporting end-to-end data and reporting services across the
analytics landscape, including Power BI dashboards, Azure Databricks data processing
and transformation pipelines, Azure SQL/Synapse data warehouses, minor
enhancements and associated Azure data platform components.

Mandatory

• 8+ years of experience in BI, Data Engineering, or Analytics Platform Support.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience supporting Azure Databricks environments.
• Strong PySpark development and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise-wide analytics and reporting platforms.
• Strong SQL troubleshooting and data investigation skills.
• Experience supporting Power BI production environments.
• Experience working in a production support or IT operations environment.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a hands-on site reliability engineer with strong expertise across the entire analytics value chain:
 

Source Systems → Azure Data Factory → Azure Data Lake → Databricks (PySpark
Transformations) → Azure SQL/Synapse → Power BI Dashboards & MI Reporting
 

The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable investigating a failed dashboard refresh,
troubleshooting a Databricks job, analysing SQL data discrepancies, or resolving an end-to-end data
pipeline failure.
