We are Somerset West Community Health Centre (SWCHC), a non-profit, community-governed organization that serves over 18,000 clients annually. Established in 1978, SWCHC provides a wide range of health care services such as primary health care, health promotion, community development, mental health, and harm reduction. What the Program Entails
The Coalition of Community Health and Resource Centers brings together member organizations to demonstrate the collective impact of Community Health and Resource Centers and strengthen their ability to respond to community needs.
The Coalition works with its members to improve the consistency and quality of data collection, identify shared indicators, measure community impact, and use evidence to inform planning, communications, advocacy, funding applications, and engagement with decision-makers and community partners.
The Coalition and Somerset West Community Health Centre work within an anti-racism and anti-oppression framework that acknowledges the existence and impacts of systemic racism and seeks to promote fair, inclusive, and equitable systems for everyone.
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Coalition Coordinator, the Data Specialist will strengthen the Coalition’s ability to collect, understand, analyze, and use data to demonstrate the collective impact of Community Health and Resource Centers.
Working closely with member organizations, you will improve data quality and consistency, analyze existing data, identify priority indicators, and translate findings into clear reports.
This is a hands-on data quality and analysis role with a strong emphasis on working directly with organizations to improve how data is collected, interpreted, and reported

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative data professional who can combine strong technical and analytical capabilities with clear communication and relationship-building skills.
You understand how to identify data quality issues, improve data collection processes, analyze quantitative information, and translate technical findings into clear and accessible information for non-technical audiences.
Education
You have a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or social science field, such as: Statistics; Data Analytics or Data Science; Economics; Sociology; Public Health; Geographic Information Systems.
