WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

As a Data Engineer at Recordly, you'll get your hands dirty building real data solutions; pipelines, platforms, and models that create tangible value for our customers. Your background can be in software engineering or already in the data world. We're a tech-agnostic consultancy, and we value broad data expertise over mastery of any single tool.

Technical requirements

Core expectations (you don’t need to tick every box, but most should feel familiar):

• Hands-on experience building data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and data modeling

• Strong SQL skills and experience with Python or another programming language (Scala, Java, JavaScript)

• Understanding of at least one cloud environment (Azure, AWS, or GCP) particularly the data services side

• Solid fundamentals in version control (Git) and CI/CD practices

• Experience or solid understanding of modern data platforms.
  

Nice to have:

• Experience with modern data stack tools: Snowflake, dbt, Databricks, or Microsoft based data platforms

• Understanding of Data Lakehouse architecture or data warehousing fundamentals

• Awareness of DataOps practices and data quality management

• Interest in BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Omni) and data visualization.
  

What we're especially looking for right now:

• Experience with Snowflake, preferably alongside dbt

• End-to-end solutions built on Databricks.
  

Language requirements:
In addition to English, we require fluent written and spoken Finnish skills, as a significant part of our customer work is conducted in Finnish.

Location:
This role is based in Finland. Currently, we offer permanent remote work opportunities within the country. We cannot provide relocation support.
