This position is critical to maintaining the organization's financial integrity and ensuring strict adherence to federal grant requirements, including 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance). The Controller oversees the preparation of accurate financial statements, coordinates external and federal audits, and provides strategic financial guidance to organizational leadership.
Given the organization's substantial reliance on federal funding, the Controller must possess deep expertise in federal grant accounting, cost allocation, indirect cost rate development, and compliance with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requirements. The Controller will work closely with senior leadership to establish and maintain strong internal controls, support grant financial management, and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. This is a hands-on role focused on accounting operations, compliance, and financial stewardship.
NACDD manages a significant portfolio of federally funded cooperative agreements and grants, requiring strong financial oversight, compliance with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), and careful stewardship of public funds. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys building strong financial processes, working collaboratively across teams, and contributing to a stable and effective finance function.
NACDD’s finance team is currently undergoing a period of transition and organizational strengthening. The Controller will play a critical role in stabilizing and enhancing financial operations while helping strengthen internal controls and financial systems. NACDD is committed to building a stable and collaborative finance function to support the organization’s long-term mission.
