What You'll Do
As a Contracts Manager, you will lead the Contract Management function and ensure consistent, compliant, and efficient execution of contracting activities across the organization.
Primary Impact
Drive operational excellence through contract governance, stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, process optimization, and team leadership, enabling Omnicell to scale effectively while supporting strategic business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Contract Operations
- Establish, manage, and continuously improve contract management standards, policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Develop and monitor operational metrics that measure quality, efficiency, throughput, cycle times, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Drive initiatives that improve contracting effectiveness, scalability, and business performance.
- Ensure contracting workflows align with growth objectives while maintaining compliance and control requirements.
- Maintain accountability for the overall effectiveness of the contract management function.
Develop and Lead High-Performing Teams
- Coach, mentor, and develop Contract Advisors and other contract management professionals.
- Set performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and support employee growth and career development.
- Manage team capacity, prioritize resources, and ensure appropriate workload distribution.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
- Build organizational capability through training, guidance, and subject matter expertise.
Drive Contract Governance and Risk Management
- Own contract standards, template management, clause governance, and related contracting controls.
- Partner with Commercial Legal and business stakeholders to maintain approved contract language, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines.
- Identify contractual, operational, and compliance risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, approval workflows, and signature authority requirements.
- Escalate significant risks and provide informed recommendations to leadership.
Build Strategic Stakeholder Partnerships
- Establish trusted relationships across Sales, Legal, Finance, Revenue Operations, Procurement, Customer Success, Operations, and executive leadership teams.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex contract matters and cross-functional challenges.
- Align stakeholders around governance standards, contracting priorities, and process improvements.
- Communicate operational performance, emerging risks, and continuous improvement opportunities to leadership.
- Facilitate informed decision-making and consensus among key stakeholders.
Resolve Escalations and Remove Roadblocks
- Lead resolution of complex contractual issues that may impact deal progression or customer commitments.
- Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Revenue, and Sales leadership on negotiations, approvals, and exception requests.
- Address operational conflicts and remove obstacles impacting contract execution timelines.
- Ensure critical business priorities receive timely attention and support.
Optimize Processes and Systems
- Lead continuous improvement efforts across contract lifecycle management processes, systems, and controls.
- Partner with business stakeholders and system administrators to maximize value from CLM platforms, Salesforce, Agiloft, and related technologies.
- Identify automation opportunities that improve compliance, productivity, visibility, and user experience.
- Develop dashboards, scorecards, reporting tools, and process documentation that support decision-making and operational excellence.
- Support transformation initiatives that enhance contracting capabilities and future business scalability.
Support Business Continuity
- Provide direct contract support during peak business periods, organizational transitions, or resource constraints.
- Step into Contract Advisor responsibilities when needed to ensure continuity of service and responsiveness.
- Maintain visibility into active deal portfolios, organizational priorities, and customer needs.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in contract management, commercial operations, legal operations, deal desk, or related business functions.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience with demonstrated success developing and leading high-performing teams.
- Experience managing complex commercial agreements and cross-functional business processes.
- Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management, governance, compliance, negotiation support, and risk management practices.
- Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with CLM platforms such as Agiloft or similar contract management technologies.
- Experience supporting SaaS, software, healthcare technology, professional services, or enterprise solution organizations.
- Project Management, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar operational excellence certification.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition practices, commercial operations workflows, and approval governance structures.
- Demonstrated experience leading organizational change and transformation initiatives.
