Contract Management Senior Specialist - Cigna Healthcare - Remote

Help shape a reliable, efficient contracting experience for our provider network. As a Contract Management Senior Specialist, you will guide the design, administration, and continuous improvement of the contract management system. You will partner across Provider Contracting, Legal, Operations, Technology, and Governance teams to turn complex requirements into clear processes, effective tools, and consistent results.

Responsibilities:

·    Lead the configuration and ongoing administration of the provider contract management system, including reference data, approval workflows, user roles, permissions, and standard contract templates.

·    Partner with contracting leaders, governance groups, Legal, Regulatory and State Government Affairs, and technology teams to align system capabilities with business, policy, and regulatory needs.

·    Coordinate release readiness, testing, implementation, and adoption of system improvements that strengthen accuracy, usability, and compliance.

·    Develop reporting and insights that help leaders understand workload, contract complexity, compliance, financial performance, language trends, and opportunities for improvement.

·    Create and refine administrative guidelines, contracting processes, exception pathways, and approval structures that support consistent execution.

·    Design, deliver, and evaluate virtual or classroom training for contractors and matrix partners; maintain learning materials and training records.

·    Provide consultative support and subject matter expertise to field contracting teams and cross-functional partners, including guidance on system and contracting processes.

·    Mentor frontline staff, help resolve complex issues, and provide occasional backup support through phone and shared email channels.

·    Build productive relationships across Network Operations, Service Operations, Medical Management, Medical Economics, Legal, vendors, and regional contracting teams to advance shared goals.

Required Qualifications:

·    Minimum of 5 years of managed healthcare experience, including at least 2 years in contract negotiation and 2 years in contract management.

·    Experience managing or supporting business systems, workflows, testing, releases, or process improvements.

·    Ability to influence decisions, gain support, and collaborate effectively in a matrixed organization.

·    Strong communication, presentation, training, relationship management, negotiation, organization, and analytical skills.

·    Ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations and solve problems in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

·    Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDF tools, and presentation applications.

·    Ability to occasionally work across time zones.

·    Ability to travel occasionally when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

·    Experience with Contract Lifecyle Management (CLM) systems.

·    Knowledge of provider contracting, negotiation, provider services, project management, or system development.

·    Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field; MBA, MHA, or another relevant advanced degree.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 92,000 - 153,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
