Mob Entertainment is a startup multimedia studio that is best known for our hit indie horror game "Poppy Playtime".  This franchise is one of the hottest new properties in gaming, and our team is naturally expanding as our ambition expands.  To give a taste of our brand's popularity, more than 100 billion YouTube views of Poppy Playtime related content have occurred since the game's launch 4 years ago.  

About The Game And Company:

MOB Entertainment is looking for a talented Game Animator to join our team on a contract basis to help bring characters, creatures, and gameplay mechanics to life. You'll work closely with our art, design, and engineering teams to create polished, expressive 3D animations that fit our game's style and feel great in the hands of players.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with a team of animators to develop high-quality in-game animations and cinematics
• Work from storyboards when provided
• Craft strong poses and compelling visual frames that represent the characters and serve the game's design goals
• Present work to the team, seek input, and incorporate feedback from leads and teammates
• Own your deliverables, managing your goals within milestones and deadlines while maintaining consistent style across the project
• Continually refine animation processes throughout production to improve team productivity
• Animate a diverse range of compelling, alluring, and fear-inducing creatures and characters that support unique and dynamic gameplay

What You Need:

• 5+ years of experience animating in Autodesk Maya
• Ability to match the style and quality bar for a project through consistently high-quality animation
• Strong understanding of body mechanics
• A keen eye for performance and weight
• Experience with creature animation (bipedal and quadrupedal)
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; able to work collaboratively and inspire a team environment
• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think beyond established solutions

Pluses:

• Experience implementing animation directly into a game engine
• Experience with animation blend trees and node-based animation editors in a commercial or proprietary game engine

Salary Range:

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Final compensation within the applicable salary range will be determined based on factors such as the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and work location.

San Francisco, CA; New York City, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Seattle, WA; Boston, MA; & Seattle, WA DC Metropolitan Areas:   $86,000 - $106,000 USD annually

Austin, TX; Denver, CO; Nashville, TN; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; & Miami, FL Metropolitan Areas:  $75,000 - $93,000 USD annually

All Other U.S. Locations: $63,000 - $79,000USD annually
