AI Summary

Film short, engaging videos from home based on provided scripts and briefs. Perform to camera using storytelling, light comedy, and improvisation to represent the brand voice.

About us

Exchange Life makes travel charm jewellery. Someone buys a charm for the place they went, the person they went with, the year everything changed, and then they wear it for the next twenty years. We are a small team, the brand is growing fast, and the videos we make are how most people meet us.

The role in one line

We need someone who can hold a camera's attention and tell a story in sixty seconds. If you trained as an actor, worked as one, or taught drama, you already have the skill we are hiring for.

What you would actually do

  • Film short videos at home on your phone, from a brief and script we send you
  • Perform to camera: warm storytelling, light comedy, real customer stories, product moments
  • Improvise around the brief when the script needs loosening up
  • Give us take nine as fresh as take two, which you know is rarer than it sounds
  • Send us the raw footage. We edit, caption, post and handle everything after that.

What we are not asking for

  • No dancing, no chasing trends, no lip-syncing
  • No follower count. We will not ask for one. It is not what we are hiring for.
  • No editing, no lighting rig, no studio, no crew
  • No fixed hours. You film when it suits your week.

Who this is for

Actors between jobs. Actors who left the industry and miss the work. Drama teachers, stage and voice trained people, anyone who can read a written line and make it sound like they just thought of it. Presence beats polish here, and warmth reads on camera in a way that technique alone does not.

If you have been told you are "too something" for a casting, that is very much not how this works. We are casting for one person we can build a brand voice around.

What you need

  • A phone that shoots decent video. Most phones from the last five years do.
  • A room with a window
  • Reliable turnaround. If we brief you on a Monday, we need it back by [day].
  • Comfort being on camera as yourself, not only in character

Where this goes

It starts at 31 videos a month. It does not stay there for the person who is good at it. The next steps are bigger briefs, input on scripts, a say in campaigns, and eventually being the recognisable face and voice of the brand rather than one of several. We would far rather grow one person into that than rotate through twenty. If that is what you are after, tell us when you apply.
