Compliance Coordinator - Remote (ET/CT Preferred)

Ensemble Performing Arts is a high-growth, mission-driven owner and operator of performing arts schools and businesses. We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Compliance Coordinator to contribute to Ensemble’s business license compliance efforts across its growing portfolio of businesses.

This is a full-time, remote position, with preference for candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones.

The Role

You’ll operate with an ownership mindset: proactively managing business licensing compliance and building scalable compliance workflows in support of Ensemble’s mission.

This is an extraordinary entry-to-mid-level opportunity for an organized administrative professional who wants to build a career in operations, legal support or corporate compliance within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Licensing & Entity Management: Research business licensing compliance requirements; and prepare, submit and track state and local business licenses, permits, and corporate entity maintenance filings
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects concurrently from conception to completion to ensure timely filings across all business units with exceptional ownership, accountability, and follow-through
  • Database Administration: Maintain and continuously update our internal compliance and corporate filing databases
  • External Coordination: Coordinate with state agencies, local authorities and registered agents to manage state registration projects and resolve application roadblocks
  • Process Improvement: Help us build scalable and efficient workflows as we add more businesses to our portfolio

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of office administration, personal/executive assistant, bookkeeping or other comparable clerical or administrative work experience
  • Curious, adaptable and motivated to grow with a scaling organization
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Proven project management and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adjust priorities in fast-paced environment
  • High integrity, discretion and strong ethical standards
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of Excel

Preferred Experience

  • Demonstrated interest in the performing arts and/or performing arts education
  • Familiarity with project management software
  • Prior experience dealing with multi-state business operations

Compensation & Benefits

This role is full-time and remote, with an expected $45,000-$55,000 annual salary. Within this range, pay is determined by work location and other factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
