THE ROLE
As a Commercial Sales Account Manager, you will be a key member of AMD’s Commercial Sales team, focused on building and growing our channel business across commercial PCs, servers, and professional graphics solutions. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role where you will work closely with distribution partners, NSPs, VARs, and OEMs to drive business development and accelerate adoption of AMD technologies.

You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, helping partners identify opportunities, enabling their sales teams, and co-developing programs that deliver measurable growth. This role offers the opportunity to influence go-to-market strategy, build executive-level relationships, and play a direct role in expanding AMD’s presence in the commercial ecosystem.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with distributors, NSPs, VARs, and OEMs to drive growth of AMD commercial solutions
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing programs that increase partner engagement and revenue
  • Educate and enable partner sales teams on AMD technologies and value proposition
  • Support partners in positioning and selling AMD-based solutions to end customers
  • Build and manage executive-level relationships with key partners

Your first months

  • Build a strong understanding of the commercial channel landscape and key partners
  • Establish relationships with internal teams and partner contacts
  • Begin supporting ongoing sales initiatives and partner engagements

As you grow in the role

  • Own account plans and drive execution aligned with sales targets
  • Identify new growth opportunities within partners and across the ecosystem
  • Influence partner strategies and strengthen AMD’s positioning within their portfolios
  • Lead partner-facing engagements, including training sessions and strategic discussions

Longer term

  • Deliver consistent revenue growth and achieve assigned sales targets
  • Become a trusted advisor to key partners and internal stakeholders
  • Shape and scale successful programs across the channel ecosystem
  • Advocate for customer and partner needs internally to influence strategy and execution

Ongoing responsibilities

  • Maintain strong pipeline visibility and manage partner performance
  • Act as the voice of the customer and partner within AMD
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and unlock opportunities
  • Continuously look for ways to improve engagement and drive business outcomes

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working with IT distributors, NSPs, VARs, OEMs, or channel ecosystems
  • Ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams across regions
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage technical and business audiences
  • Experience developing and executing sales or partner programs
  • Willingness to travel as part of a customer-facing role

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

  • Degree in business, technology, or a related discipline preferred
