Summary of Job Duties:

The Business Intelligence Analyst / Developer designs, develops, and maintains reporting solutions, data products, and automated processes supporting Institutional Advancement’s Salesforce CRM environment. The position uses SQL, data modeling, ETL processes, Salesforce reporting, and business intelligence tools to transform institutional data into accurate, accessible, and actionable information.

The position manages the full reporting lifecycle, including gathering requirements, preparing and validating data, developing reports and dashboards, delivering results, documenting business logic, and converting recurring requests into reusable or automated solutions. • Develop reusable data models, reporting components, and standardized datasets that reduce duplicated work and inconsistent reporting logic.
  • Fulfill ad hoc and specialty reporting requests while identifying opportunities to convert recurring requests into standardized or self-service solutions.
  • Design, configure, test, and monitor AI-assisted and automated processes supporting reporting intake, requirements gathering, data preparation, validation, analysis, narrative generation, delivery, and follow-up.
  • Develop and maintain prompts, instructions, templates, business rules, structured outputs, evaluation criteria, and human-review checkpoints.
  • Evaluate emerging AI, analytics, and automation capabilities for practical use within Salesforce and connected reporting systems.
  • Monitor AI-assisted outputs for accuracy, consistency, security, bias, and compliance with approved business definitions and institutional requirements.
  • Document the capabilities, limitations, dependencies, risks, and support requirements of AI-assisted processes.
  • Train and support staff in the appropriate and responsible use of approved reporting, automation, and AI tools.
  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot data pipelines, integrations, APIs, scheduled processes, and data loads supporting Salesforce and enterprise reporting.
