We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst with strong SQL and Power BI skills who can translate business goals into meaningful insights. This role is not limited to writing queries or creating dashboards- the ideal candidate should understand business problems, identify relevant metrics, and provide recommendations that support better decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business and product teams to understand goals, challenges, and reporting requirements.
- Analyse complex datasets using SQL to identify trends, opportunities, and performance gaps.
- Build interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that clearly communicate business performance.
- Define and track KPIs aligned with business objectives.
- Convert business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reports and dashboards.
- Proactively identify areas where data can improve processes, revenue, customer experience, or operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, including joins, CTEs, aggregations, window functions, and query optimisation.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard development.
- Strong business understanding and the ability to connect data insights with business outcomes.
- Experience gathering requirements and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to identify the right metrics instead of simply reporting available data.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.
