Description
The Business Development Risk Advisor is responsible for driving revenue growth through the identification, development, and acquisition of new business opportunities. This role focuses on building and maintaining strategic relationships with prospective clients, referral partners, and industry professionals, while demonstrating a strong understanding of insurance solutions, market dynamics, and the firm’s value proposition.
This position works closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from prospecting through onboarding, supporting both client satisfaction and long-term retention. This role is not responsible for an existing book of business.
This role strictly adheres to our Corporate Standards of Excellence and procedural guidelines spelled out in our Professional Procedure Manual.
Requirements
Engage regularly in high-quality sales outreach and client presentations, driving business development efforts to achieve personal revenue goals.
Build and manage a diverse portfolio of potential clients, with a strong focus on relationship development and long-term growth.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic market research, competitive analysis, and a deep understanding of industry trends. Use a combination of personal networks, curated lead lists, and insights from client interactions to connect with niche or high-potential accounts across assigned sectors or regions.
Collaborate closely with senior colleagues on complex deal components, contributing to high-level strategy and execution, particularly in specialized markets. Maintain frequent communication with internal teams and key external stakeholders to ensure alignment and drive progress throughout the sales cycle.
Actively represent the company at industry events, conferences, and regional gatherings. Participate in professional associations to expand visibility, stay informed on emerging trends, and strengthen a broad, cross-functional network that supports business development objectives.
