Business Development Manager – Pump & Hydro (APAC)

Position Purpose and Objectives
The Business Development Manager (BDM) – Pump & Hydro is responsible for driving the commercial strategy, market development, and growth of the Pump/Industrial segment across APAC, with Hydro/Clean Power managed as a selective extension. The role builds a scalable, repeatable revenue engine through specification selling, OEM engagement, distributor enablement, and application-led value creation. It provides functional leadership across regions, enabling Regional Managers and partners to execute against high-value Industrial TOM opportunities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear. This employee is also subject to daily computer use. This employee is also required to travel approx. 50%, sometimes greater, as required, including overnight and frequent extended hours.
Working Conditions
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subjected to outdoor conditions, noise or other industrial hazards while visiting clients in Hydro Power Plants or industrial sites and the employee is occasionally subjected to the conditions of an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually low or moderate. Hydro Power Plant visits will be required periodically, where the health and safety practices of the plant and full use of PPE must be adhered to at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Post-secondary technical or commercial degree required
A degree in Management, Economics or Mechanical Engineering is preferred
Or equivalent relevant vocational education/experience within the Pump OEM/End-user environment
