Job Title: Business Development Manager

Compensation: $105,000 – $120,000
About this position:
Advantech is in search of an experienced Business Development Manager to grow strategic technology partnerships that pair our edge, embedded, and industrial computing platforms with advanced software and digital engineering services. Working across sales, marketing, and product teams, this role focuses on enablement, relationship-building, and pipeline development rather than carrying a single product quota. Target industries include industrial equipment and manufacturing, energy and utilities, life sciences and healthcare, transportation and logistics, and retail.
Responsibilities:
- Champion the combined hardware-and-software offering internally, building enablement materials and industry-specific positioning
- Train and equip sales, marketing, and product teams to identify and pursue joint opportunities
- Connect sellers and solution architects across both organizations to co-create solutions for target accounts
- Identify and develop new opportunities, secure committed pilots, and advance pilots toward production engagements
- Build demonstrable, packaged solutions for priority industries and reuse them across accounts
- Plan and run solution-focused customer events, and represent the partnership at industry events and conferences
- Partner with technical teams on proposals and customer engagements that align hardware and services to client objectives
- Track pipeline and report on progress against partnership goals
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, channel or alliance management, or solution sales spanning hardware and software or services
- Working knowledge of edge or embedded hardware, with the ability to articulate software and digital engineering value (e.g., AI, Industrial IoT, application engineering)
- Experience utilizing CRM software for pipeline management and reporting
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including engagement with senior and executive stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field
- Experience working within or alongside a technical sales organization
- Experience building or supporting a joint go-to-market motion with a strategic partner
