Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and analytically minded Policy Analyst to join a Public Policy team in the capacity of Business Analyst I. This role is ideal for professionals with 1–3 years of experience who want to deepen their expertise in global regulatory and legislative developments and contribute to high-impact policy analysis that informs business decisions. You will identify, track, and analyse political, regulatory, and legislative developments across key jurisdictions worldwide, translating complex policy information into clear, actionable insights tailored to business needs and supporting the continuous improvement of monitoring systems and analytical tools.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and identify relevant political, regulatory, and legislative developments across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Produce high-quality, bespoke analysis on policy developments and assess their implications for the business.
  • Support the preparation of briefings, reports, and internal updates for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure policy insights are aligned with commercial priorities.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of internal monitoring systems, workflows, and analytical tools.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global policy trends and emerging regulatory risks.
  • Support transparency reporting workstreams, ensuring reporting is accurate and aligned with internal requirements and external frameworks, guidance, and templates.
  • Help leverage AI-enabled tools to identify, track, and synthesize legislative, regulatory, and policy developments across jurisdictions.
  • Apply strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP, to support data analysis and reporting.
  • Support supply chain-related analysis and documentation where policy and regulatory developments impact operations.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships and networks that support effective policy monitoring and information gathering.

Essential Skills

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in public policy, regulatory analysis, government affairs, consulting, supply chain analysis, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal and policy information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise analysis and briefings.
  • Demonstrated interest in global political and regulatory developments.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP, to analyse and present data.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build effective networks.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to review source materials, reporting requirements, and policy text to produce accurate, well-supported analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with policy monitoring tools, databases, or research platforms.
  • Formal training in public policy, regulatory analysis, data analysis, or a related discipline.
  • Exposure to supply chain processes and their regulatory context.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to support research, monitoring, and analysis.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new policy areas, jurisdictions, and regulatory frameworks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.
