Help Scout builds software for relationship businesses — companies that earn loyalty through outstanding customer service. We’ve been on this journey since 2011, and today more than 10,000 companies use our platform to support customers of all types, from clients to patients and beyond.
Now we’re in a new chapter: not only building AI that gives teams more space to focus on the customer experience, but also reimagining how we operate in an AI-native world. That means shipping and learning faster, without compromising on craft. Great work here carries a strong opinion and sweats the details, regardless of the tools we use to drive it.
We’ve been a fully remote team since day one, with 120+ teammates now all over the world. It’s a culture where you’ll be trusted to take ownership, stay curious, and raise the quality of work around you. It comes with clear expectations and a team that will push you to do some of the best work of your career.
If that kind of challenge gives you energy, we’d love to meet you.
Brand Creative is a small but mighty in-house team inside Help Scout's marketing org, and we're the arbiters of the brand — everything customer-facing passes through us in some way. As our new Brand Designer, your work will be seen and used by several hundred thousand people every month, and it'll be your job to help make sure every moment — big or small — looks, feels, and sounds like Help Scout.
This is a role for a designer honing their craft who's hungry to grow. You'll report to our Principal Brand Designer, learning the system as you produce polished, on-brand work across a range of surfaces — from scroll-stopping ads to the pages that shape how the world meets Help Scout.
We design in Figma.
We produce across static, motion, and web — social graphics, ads, landing pages, and product pages.
We leverage AI when it's helpful to improve our productivity.
We also use Slack, Linear, and GitHub.
You'll join Brand Creative, working closely with our Principal Brand Designer to produce high-caliber design across multiple workstreams.
You'll design ads and social graphics that expand Help Scout's brand awareness into new audiences — layouts built to stop the scroll and perform across formats.
You'll contribute to bigger brand builds, like our new editorial content hub and sub-brands (including our podcasts), helping push them forward alongside the team.
You'll partner with Product Marketing to make product content visually compelling across channels.
You'll balance bite-sized, fast-turnaround assets with steady progress on larger projects, breaking work into manageable chunks.
Over time, you'll grow into shaping the brand system itself as your craft deepens.
You're a stellar visual designer honing your craft, with a keen eye for composition, typography, and detail.
You're curious and consultative — you see feedback from teammates and cross-functional partners as a gift that's critical to your work's success.
You bring motion and web design chops alongside strong static fundamentals, and you're fluent in Figma.
You communicate clearly and lean on async techniques to move multiple projects forward at once.
You know when to leverage AI and other time-saving approaches, and you're comfortable breaking work into manageable chunks.
You embrace ambiguity and find ways to create clarity — for yourself and your teammates.
Help is in our first name! We show up for each other — not out of obligation, but because we’re invested in the team’s collective success. We share knowledge freely, lead with generosity, and practice empathy with our teammates, customers, and community.
Our success relies on the quality and craft of the work we put into the world. The status quo simply won’t work. So we insist on narrow focus, sweating every detail, and relentless pursuit of customer delight.
Achieving our true potential — collectively and individually — requires constant progress and forward momentum. By creating a culture of curiosity and openness, we aim to create a safe space for mistakes, the ability to identify them quickly, and use them to get better.
Own the outcome means taking full responsibility for the results of your work, decisions, and contributions. It reflects a mindset of accountability, proactiveness, and follow-through. If you “own the outcome,” you don’t just complete tasks, you ensure your work leads to meaningful results, and take initiative to solve problems rather than passing them along.

On our end, we utilize a platform called Brighthire as a notetaker and review tool to ensure a fair and transparent hiring process.
