Our client is a rapidly growing eCommerce health and personal care products company selling across multiple online channels, including Amazon, Shopify, and TikTok Direct-to-Consumer.

About the Role

We are seeking a Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of the client's growing eCommerce business. This is a hands-on accounting role focused on daily bookkeeping, multi-channel sales accounting, reconciliations, inventory and COGS accounting, monthly financial reporting, and financial analysis.

The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping fundamentals, prior experience supporting eCommerce or online retail businesses, and a solid understanding of inventory accounting. This role will also work closely with leadership to provide financial insights and support budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements.

Shift: US Business Hours (12AM - 9AM PHT, 1 hour lunch break)

Work Arrangement: Remote (Philippines)

What You'll Do:

• Maintain accurate financial records across AP, AR, payroll, inventory, amortizations, and other accounts.
• Record and reconcile daily sales transactions across multiple eCommerce platforms, including Amazon, Shopify, and TikTok.
• Reconcile payment processor accounts, including PayPal, Stripe, Amazon Payments, and TikTok.
• Manage accounts payable, including vendor payments, expense tracking, and related documentation.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and audits to identify errors, discrepancies, or unusual transactions.
• Prepare accurate monthly P&L statements and financial reports for management review.
• Provide monthly financial analysis, highlighting trends, variances, cost-saving opportunities, and business insights.
• Manage inventory valuation and COGS recognition, including physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
• Support month-end closing procedures and ensure all accounts are properly reconciled and up to date.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Partner with leadership to provide clear financial reporting and support data-driven business decisions.
• Identify irregular or unusual financial activity and promptly flag potential issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Assist with special projects, ad-hoc financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives as needed.
• Recommend improvements to accounting and financial processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.

What You Need:

• 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience with a strong understanding of GAAP principles.
• Prior eCommerce or online retail accounting experience is required.
• Solid understanding of inventory accounting, COGS, amortization, and cost recognition.
• Experience handling multi-channel eCommerce transactions and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in accounting software, with QuickBooks experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and the ability to work with financial data.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable business insights.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with Amazon FBA accounting and multi-channel eCommerce operations.
• Experience working with inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of cost accounting methodologies.
• Track record of implementing process improvements within financial or accounting operations.

Technical Requirements

• Fiber internet (PLDT Fiber, Converge, Globe Fiber, etc.) - recommended speed of 100/50 Mbps
• Backup internet (mobile hotspot or secondary ISP) capable of at least 20 Mbps
• Quiet, conducive home workspace
• OPTIONAL: Wired Ethernet connection preferred during work hours
• OPTIONAL: Power backup (UPS) if the location experiences frequent outages
