Wellfleet Workplace Services, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, seeks an experienced Billing Consultant to support the Wellfleet Workplace block of business. If that's you, come join us!

The Billing Consultant is an instrumental player in the service Wellfleet provides to customers. This position is responsible for billing processes for Workplace Benefits. The Billing Consultant will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing, handling billing questions, concerns, and issues, and ensuring all billing related activities are completed timely and accurately. Additionally, this role is responsible for coordinating with internal and external parties on inquiries related to billing. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the workplace benefits products as they relate to billing and general policy administration. 

In this role, you will…

• Process customer billing, analyzing data, producing invoices, and billing reports accurately and timely
• Manage more complex workloads/customer accounts
• Create or modify process documentation and workflows as needed
• Identify and execute on process improvements
• Train and mentor new hires
• Handle and collect group level past dues.
• Work with the client management team, sales team, and external parties to resolve billing and broker compensation issues.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of billing-related transactions.
• Independently research and respond to customers (internal and external) by phone, email, or other forms of communication.
• Research issues or concerns, and escalate to appropriate parties to determine resolutions and follow up to ensure a response in given in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for candidates with…

• Bachelor's degree in medical billing or related field, or 5+ years of equivalent experience in the field or a combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of the workplace benefits industry required
• Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of the team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including thorough and complete follow-up on all time sensitive items
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage multiple assignments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
• Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to problem-solve, conduct thorough research and provide issue resolutions
• Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.

The annual gross base salary range is $63,000 to $70,000. This range anticipates the low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies.  Salary is one component of Wellfleet’s total compensation and benefits package, which includes medical, vision and dental insurance options, life and accident insurance, 401(k), and short-term and long-term disability insurance.
