This position may be filled at the Senior or Lead level, depending on the selected candidate’s experience, technical expertise, and demonstrated leadership.

In this role, you will develop dashboards, reports, data extracts, governed datasets, ETL/ELT processes, data marts, and other BI solutions. You will work with business and technical partners to translate complex requirements into reliable, secure, supportable, and cost-effective data solutions. You will also help maintain development, testing, documentation, change management, data governance, security, and production support standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and support BI reports, dashboards, data extracts, governed datasets, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Support data integration, data mart, reporting, and analytics solutions from source systems through downstream consumption.
  • Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications, source-to-target mappings, and solution designs.
  • Perform complex data analysis to support requirements gathering, metric definitions, source validation, and data-quality reviews.
  • Conduct unit testing and assist with output validation, reconciliation, and business acceptance criteria.
  • Troubleshoot reports, data extracts, ETL/ELT processes, scheduled jobs, and production data solutions.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for data, reporting, and pipeline issues and document resolution steps and preventive actions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including business rules, data lineage, technical specifications, runbooks, and support procedures.
  • Support testing, user acceptance testing, change management, and release planning.
  • Support data governance, metadata, lineage, data quality, access control, and reporting governance expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the performance, reliability, efficiency, automation, and supportability of existing solutions.
  • Serve as a senior technical contributor or technical lead for projects, enhancements, and corporate initiatives.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Advanced SQL skills using Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or another leading relational database management system.
  • Advanced experience developing reports and dashboards using tools such as Microsoft Reporting Services, Power BI, Business Objects, or Cognos.
  • Strong experience developing ETL/ELT processes using Microsoft Integration Services or other data integration tools.
  • Experience supporting data extracts, data integrations, data marts, governed datasets, and downstream reporting or analytics.

  • Working knowledge of production support practices, including scheduling, orchestration, monitoring, incident triage, root-cause analysis, and operational readiness.
  • Experience preparing technical specifications, source-to-target mappings, business rules, lineage documentation, runbooks, or support procedures.
  • Working knowledge of data governance, metadata, stewardship, reporting governance, access controls, and the secure handling of sensitive data.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with both technical and business partners.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of related experience in IT, business intelligence, data engineering, data integration, reporting, or analytics delivery.
  • Experience developing and supporting enterprise data solutions in a production environment.
  • Equivalent military experience may also be considered.

Lead-Level Opportunity:

Lead-level candidates will have greater depth in data integration, ETL/ELT, data modeling, data warehousing, data quality, and production support. They will also lead complex initiatives, guide technical decisions and standards, mentor team members, and coordinate the resolution of complex production issues.
