Your responsibilities
As B2B Manager – Industry & Education, you will build strategic relationships with companies, industry associations, innovation stakeholders, and ecosystem partners across Europe. You will design and implement sponsorship and partnership models that generate income and support financial sustainability, negotiating and closing deals, while creating meaningful connections between industry and talent development initiatives.
The role supports two flagship Cross-KIC initiatives: EIT STEM Tech Talent Induction and EIT Talent. EIT STEM Tech Talent Induction is building a STEM talent pipeline through trainings, skilling projects, and a community of industry partners. EIT Talent connects industry with emerging talent through Cross-KIC Innovation Challenges and supports the development of the EIT Alumni Framework and Ambassador Network.
You will secure sponsorships, develop partnership opportunities, support innovation challenges, and collaborate with EIT Health, other EIT KICs, industry partners, and European stakeholders in an international environment.
Your Input- You design, package and price industry engagement offers across the cluster’s education initiatives, from event and community sponsorships to sponsored Innovation Challenges.
- You define target industry segments and develop value propositions covering sponsorship, talent access, co-creation and visibility formats.
- You build and manage the partner pipeline through proactive outreach and leveraging EIT and Pledger networks.
- You negotiate and secure financial and in-kind contributions, convert one-off sponsorships into recurring collaborations, and contribute to agreed revenue targets.
- You test value propositions with partners and refine engagement models based on market feedback.
- You co-organise networking events, webinars, matchmaking sessions and industry co-designed Innovation Challenges.
- You manage partner relationships beyond delivery, identify follow-on opportunities, and gather feedback to improve formats and offerings.
- You design, validate and continuously improve industry engagement and sponsorship models for both initiatives to support financial sustainability and partner value creation.
- You identify and develop cross-KIC partnership opportunities by leveraging the networks and communities of the eight EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities.
- You monitor pipeline, revenue and KPIs, and prepare reporting and documentation in line with EIT and Horizon Europe requirements.
Your skills & knowledge
What you bring- You hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, communications, international relations or a related field, or bring equivalent experience in B2B or partnership roles.
- You have proven experience in B2B business development, corporate partnerships, sponsorship sales or fundraising, with a track record of securing sponsorships for programmes, events or communities and closing agreements.
- Experience in education, innovation, entrepreneurship or research environments is an advantage, while experience with European-funded projects (e.g. Horizon Europe, EIT, Erasmus+) and knowledge of the EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities is a plus.
- You are able to develop commercial offers from segmentation and value proposition development through to packaging and pricing.
- You combine strong pipeline management and CRM skills with the confidence to engage partners through both cold outreach and established networks.
- You bring excellent negotiation, networking, presentation and stakeholder management skills, as well as a good understanding of industry-academia collaboration and the European skills agenda.
- You have strong project and event coordination skills, are able to manage multiple priorities, and are proficient in Microsoft Office.
- You are fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional European languages is a plus.
