The Opportunity:
The Associate Marketing Performance Analyst supports the Marketing Performance and Analytics team by collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting marketing data. Working with guidance from experienced analysts and business partners, this role maintains dashboards and recurring reports, monitors key performance indicators, investigates trends and data-quality issues, and translates findings into clear, practical insights. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to build skills in marketing analytics, data visualization, and performance measurement.
Day in the Life:
Collect, organize, and validate marketing performance data from digital, email, social, event, CRM, and other approved sources.
Maintain recurring dashboards, scorecards, and reports using established definitions, templates, and quality-control procedures.
Monitor key performance indicators and identify notable trends, variances, anomalies, and data-quality issues for further review.
Perform descriptive and exploratory analyses to help assess campaign, channel, content, audience, and website performance.
Summarize findings in concise written narratives and visualizations that connect results to business questions.
Support campaign tagging, tracking, documentation, and measurement processes across marketing channels.
Assist with audience, conversion-funnel, attribution, testing, and optimization analyses under the direction of experienced team members.
Partner with Marketing, Sales, Web, CRM, Events, Communications, and other teams to gather requirements and clarify data needs.
Respond to routine ad hoc reporting requests and escalate ambiguous, sensitive, or complex requests appropriately.
Document metric definitions, data sources, assumptions, report logic, and recurring workflows to support consistent measurement.
Conduct routine data checks, reconcile discrepancies, and communicate issues that could affect reporting accuracy or timeliness.
Prepare presentation-ready charts, tables, and summaries for stakeholder and leadership reviews.
Apply established privacy, security, governance, and brand standards when handling data and sharing analysis.
Build proficiency in approved analytics tools and contribute ideas that improve reporting efficiency, usability, and consistency.
Participate in team meetings, training, and cross-functional projects; perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, analytics, statistics, economics, communications, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant education, training, internship, or project experience may be considered.
Minimum two years of relevant professional experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data analysis, digital marketing, or a related area.
Relevant internships, co-op assignments, academic projects, certifications, volunteer work, or portfolio projects may satisfy the experience requirement.
Working knowledge of spreadsheet analysis, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, charts, and data validation.
Exposure to a data visualization tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio is preferred.
Familiarity with web analytics, CRM, marketing automation, social analytics, or campaign management platforms is preferred.
Introductory knowledge of SQL, statistics, data cleaning, or A/B testing is a plus; willingness to learn is required.
