Associate Clinical Training Manager (RN)

The Associate Clinical Training Manager is accountable for training execution, monitoring, reporting, and follow-through to help ensure learners, trainers, and classes progress toward required readiness and performance outcomes.
This role carries similar expectations for ownership, communication, coaching support, and performance focus, with distinction reflected in the degree of independence, foresight, decision-making authority, and escalation required for broader training risks.
The Associate Clinical Training Manager supports training outcomes by coordinating trainer readiness, monitoring learner performance, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting, executing approved interventions, and escalating barriers that may affect readiness, quality, or operational transition. Key Responsibilities

The Associate Clinical Training Manager supports the delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of training programs by driving disciplined execution, monitoring readiness, reinforcing standards, and ensuring risks and action items are visible and addressed timely.

Responsibilities include training coordination, execution ownership, learner and trainer follow-through, performance tracking, stakeholder updates, recommended actions, and appropriate escalation when issues require additional direction or decision support.

• Training Delivery Execution: Own training execution by coordinating schedules, materials, tools, attendance, facilitation logistics, and adherence to approved delivery standards.
• Performance Tracking and Readiness Support: Monitor learner progress, assessment results, attendance, participation, readiness indicators, and early performance risks; recommend and execute targeted interventions, escalating issues that require additional direction or decision support.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Prepare training updates, trackers, risk summaries, recommended actions, and learner progress reports for Operations, Quality, WFM, client-facing teams, and internal training leadership.
• Trainer Support and Coaching Follow-through: Coach trainers, support facilitation readiness, reinforce approved delivery standards, monitor completion of coaching actions, and escalate trainer readiness or delivery concerns as needed.
• Refresher and Upskilling Coordination: Coordinate refresher sessions, floor support, huddles, practice activities, and targeted coaching based on quality findings, assessment results, learner needs, and operational priorities while surfacing recurring risks and recommended improvements.
• Knowledge Management and Digital Tools: Promote consistent use of knowledge resources, LMS platforms, digital tools, trackers, and approved AI-enabled support tools to improve training consistency, learner support, and visibility to progress.
• Governance, Documentation, and Efficiency: Maintain accurate training documentation, reports, trackers, assessment records, audit evidence, issue logs, and action follow-through while identifying opportunities to reduce rework, improve execution efficiency, and strengthen readiness visibility.

Clinical Nursing Capability

The Associate Clinical Training Manager applies nursing knowledge to support accurate training execution, clarify learner questions within scope, reinforce approved clinical workflows, and help ensure documentation and role-specific expectations are applied correctly during training and OJT.

This includes supporting trainers and learners with correct application of clinical processes, escalating complex clinical questions to the appropriate training leader or subject matter expert, and reinforcing nurse-led standards for accuracy, readiness, documentation quality, and performance consistency.

Requirements and Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Active or current nursing license preferred or required based on program, client, and jurisdictional requirements.

Experience

• 2–4 years of training and/or leadership experience, including training delivery, facilitation, coaching, team leadership, program coordination, or training execution support.
• Experience supporting performance, coaching follow-through, trainer readiness, learner readiness, or day-to-day training operations preferred.
• Experience monitoring learner performance, supporting coaching follow-through, preparing readiness reporting, identifying training risks, and recommending action plans.
• Healthcare operations experience, such as UM, CM, Appeals, nurse triage, clinical abstraction, or related clinical operations, preferred.

Skills

• Strong facilitation support, trainer coaching, coaching follow-through, and learner engagement capability.
• Ability to track training data, identify performance trends, recommend actions, and escalate risks with clear rationale.
• Clear communication, stakeholder coordination, issue visibility, and disciplined documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple training priorities, class activities, reports, follow-through items, and timely escalation of barriers.
